im sorry…but after reading that rihanna link…she seems like a bitch. she does realize it was never out of the news right? maybe no one in her circle talked about it,..but the news did, he doesnt have to give her a heads up about the apology…whether or not she wanted one. i mean…you’d think that maybe she would be a little happy that he owned up to it.

Nicole, you’re way off the mark. Brown’s apology was a combination of media/PR ploy and another attempt at exerting control over the path of another person’s life/career. I’m desperately sorry people are still supporting him in any way; domestic violence should be a one-shot career-killer, IMHO.

Chris Brown is just apologizing in an attempt to save his career. What he did cannot be defended or justified or excused. Anyone who does so is contributing to an environment that allows abuse to flourish. Chris Brown deserves to be vilified in the press and should continue to be so.
@Trent – Yes, Britney will be touring when she resumes her tour this fall in North America. However, she’ll perform at the Alerus Center September 12th in North Dakota. After that, she has another show on the 18th and the VMA’s are on the 13th. I mean, I know Britney is workin’ her tail off but it would be nice to see her there, y’know? I love Britney’s VMA performances but just to attend would be enough. Plus, who knows if MTV will pre-tape the VMA’s or not but I don’t think they did it last year, right? HMM. But, the VMA’s, in general, are getting super lackluster. I love me some Taylor Swift and Greenday but hopefully you’re right that MTV will keep us surprised.
@CHASE — the VMAs are never pre-taped, they always air live. It is totally feasible that Brit can be in ND on 12th and in NYC on the 13th for the VMAs. Just watch ;)
Oh, I know! That was my whole point: That Britney should show up since her schedule is the way it is. I know she can fly out to NY and I’m hoping that she will. I thought you meant that it won’t be Britney because of her tour. Oh, and I must be thinking of MTV Movie Awards instead.
