As much as I used to like Lady GaGa, I’m starting to lose immense respect for her as an artist and an overall person. She is trying way too hard! And, well, it’s backlashing. People like Madonna or Britney can do the simplest thing and it could turn into quite a scandal without them even trying. However, GaGa is trying too hard and her career will most likely end by this year. Sad.

WOW at the Kermit suit. I’m with you, Trent.

poor evan rachel wood – she just can’t get enough attention!

Trent did you see the outfit gaga wore for her next outfit?? it looked like she was wearing a lamp shade! i just dont get it.

  5. Janelle says:

i could see where people would consider her OTHER outfits like art, but this is just not art. i’m sorry. as an art major, i’m insulted.

No wonder Kate hen-pecked Jon…he’s an idiot. And now he’s engaged (or whatever) to a bigger one. I doubt Kate would let her kids hang out with Jon and his pot-head girlfriend. Bye bye kids, although to me he apparently want’s to be estranged from his kids. He’s doing a bloody good impersonation of being single and fancy free.

I just don’t see how you can say that anytime someone does something out of the norm, it is “trying to hard”. I LOVE the fact that Gaga doesn’t just try to be sexy with her clothing. So many other pop stars have been chasing that cliche for so long, and it is boring to me. The Kermit outfit made me smile and laugh, so I think it is great. If you start to take clothing too seriously, saying people can never think outside the box, I think you loose sight of the fact that fabric can be draped on the body in a billion different ways. The reason everyone wears variations of the same thing is because they are too scared to try anything else, when there are endless options. Gaga totally reminds me of my art/theater friends that wear clothes to make themselves happy, regardless of what others think. More power to her.

Prejean is publishing a memoir? Of what? She’s been on this earth for 22 years, and her only claim to fame is that she shirked her duties as Miss California, and actively campaigned against free rights for all Americans. That some one would offer her a book deal so she can whine and cry about how hard her life is and how brave she was in the face of adversity (the title is ‘Still Standing’ – gah! Elton John will be pissed) makes me feel ill. Tell your sob story to Lance Armstrong, sweetheart.

  9. Joanne says:

Oasis are the most over-rated band ever … yeah they had a couple of catchy tunes back in the 90′s, but better than the Beatles? Get real.

  10. Joanne says:

Wow. Everyone trashes Lindsay Lohan, but look at Evan Rachel Wood! and no one questions what is going on with her?

i 100% disagree. i dont believe that gaga is trying to hard. i think she’s keeping it fresh and is just an artist. you have to look at fashion as art. someone who does a totally out-there and musically groundbreaking song isnt trying to hard? someone who goes all out in dance isnt trying TOO hard? an actor who puts their all into a character isnt trying TOO hard. we’re all sitting here talking about it, so at the end of the day shes done her job. also, another gaga rant, i dont like how people call her ‘the new madonna’ when shes more talented then madonna. madonna is the SINGLE MOST OVERRATED ARTIST of all time.

also, trent’s stance on gaga is making me respect this blog less. i feel like he doesnt like gaga because perez does, and he tries to set himself apart from perez. its annoying. and its not even just with that if you pay close attention he does that all the time. so obnoxious. FUCK YOU TRENT. I LOVE GAGA.

    • @kevin — you are free to disagree to your heart’s content. i still believe that Gaga is totally overrated and not at all entertaining. i do love her single ‘Just Dance’ and do believe she is a talented songwriter (she’s written lots of great songs for other people) but her album as a whole is not at all entertaining. also, wearing a bunch of weird things attached to your clothing isn’t “edgy”. on the madonna issue, she’s been making music for decades — she is a legend. one album by any artist is not enough to surpass madonna’s body of work, sorry. it’s just my personal opinion, she does nothing for me. i’m hoping her next album will be better, tho. why so angry kevin? you have to throw around f-bombs cuz we don’t agree on music? do you need a hug or something?
