People magazine is reporting EXCLUSIVELY that eldest Jonas brother Kevin is — get this — engaged! According to the mag, Kevin has decided to ditch the purity ring and asked his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa to be his wife … and she said yes (actually, People reports that she said “yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row”). So … yeah … Kevin Jonas is gettin’ hitched, y’all:
Kevin Jonas surprised his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa by showing up at her doorstep in New Jersey early Wednesday morning and dropping down to his knee to ask her to marry him. Presented with a cushion-cut diamond ring that Jonas designed with Jacob & Co., Deleasa couldn’t believe what was happening. Then, “She said yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row,” the oldest of the Jonas Brothers tells PEOPLE exclusively. Jonas, 21, and Deleasa, 22, who met in May of 2007 while vacationing with their families in the Bahamas, haven’t set a wedding date yet. “It still feels like a dream,” she tells PEOPLE.
I, uh, suppose congrats are in order for the happy couple. It seems almost Biblical that folks this young would choose to get married but the Jonas Bros. are kind of a religious bunch. @ jessica : I think that him being a celebrity is the reason why people tend to think “this won’t work,” especially because he is young (in every aspect) and fame, marriage, and work are tough responsibilities to handle all at once.

Good for him. If I am going to be tolerant for gay marriage then I definitely need to be tolerant of two straight young adults getting married.
I just don’t understand why everyone is saying he is soooo young. A lot of people get engaged right around this age. A ton of people meet the person they will marry in college and get engaged at the end (which would make them 21 or 22). I was 23 when I got engaged. It’s really not that different.
he stated in that interview with larry king that he’s been dating this girl for a LONG while.. what that means who knows. but at least this isn’t some random groupie or some chick he met a few months ago. but his girl fan base is going to MAUL him for getting married.
I think this is fantastic news we should all think the best of all people and wish them well! I hope their marriage survives and i think they look cute! Kevin is obviously very mature for his age but then again he has to be in his business… but once again i say congrats!

IN the people article it says they met on the beach 2 years ago and she didn’t even know who the Jonas brothers were so it sounds like her interest in him is for the right reasons. I say good luck to them. I hope it works. My sister got married at 20 years old and just celebrated her 22nd wedding anniversay and they knew each other less than a year when they got engaged. It happens.
I’m all for people being happy and I do wish them the best. however, personally, I don’t understand that the rush is. I’m 21 and in absolutely no rush to settle down/get married/ anything of that sort. But people are different. The sex part may be an aspect, or maybe after some crazy years of fame he really is ready to slow/settle down.
He’s the ugly Jonas brother so no one’s really gonna give a shit about him being “off the market”.

me and my friend go to college with Danielle’s cousin. my friend knows the cousin better and she said that Kevin and Danielle have been engaged since last year. maybe they got married already but they’re just putting it off like they’re engaged.
