‘Good Morning America’ Airs Personal Michael Jackson Home Video
Good Morning America aired some very special, previously unseen home video footage of Michael Jackson in happier times with his young children, Prince Michael Joseph and Paris Michael Katherine in the years between 1999-2003 … at a time when he was still happily married to his second wife Debbie Rowe, was still living at the Neverland Ranch, before the birth of his third child (Prince Michael Joseph, II aka Blanket) and before he was brought up on a second round of charges of child molestation. The home video is painfully sweet and gives us a different look at the man that we believed we knew. Here are a few screencaps from the GMA footage that has been made available:
Those of you who remember this period in MJ’s life know that he was absolutely private and generally out of public eye for some time. It was ages before we saw him out and about with his children. It was not until he agreed to do the interview with Martin Bashir, Living with Michael Jackson, (after the birth of his third child) that he really opened himself up to the media (and, as you may recall, it was one of the young boys who was featured in that interview that leveled the second round of child molestation charges against him). This is absolutely a side of MJ that not many have seen. It’s easy to see how much he loved his children. I’m not sure if more of this home video will be made available to the public but just seeing this glimpse gives me new insight on the late Michael Jackson. His family looked so happy back then … it’s really comforting to know that MJ really did experience true happiness in his lifetime.

oh my god. when they sang “please don’t take my daddy away” i started sobbing. so so so so unbelievably sad. he was so sweet and he loved them so much. heartbreaking.

In his interview with Barbara Walters, he just looked so happy! The way he laughed about dancing to make Prince stop crying, just beautiful. It’s so nice to see the truly happy side of MJ.

This just breaks my heart. :( They’re all in my heart and in my prayers. Such a happy time clouded by so much tabloid intrusion. At least Michael is at peace now, and I hope the children will find peace, too.

Brought some tears to my eyes..I feel so horrible for those kids..Especially if the mother of the 2 older ones ends up somehow getting custody..You can’t rip them apart from their little brother! Ugh..Just makes me so sad..

Maybe I am too cynical…but it seems to me the children were being coached with that song about their Daddy in the event that some entity (a court? their mother? whatever?) attempted to take them away from him.

Wow how incredibly sad!!! Regardless of how people may feel about him. Those babies loved him and how terrible they must feel. He seemed his best when he was around them….

It is so odd about his kids race though. One with blue eyes and one with blonde hair.. Both genetically POSSIBLE, but so so so so so unlikely.

Even if there not his kids, it is possible for them to have blond hair and blue eyes. Have anyone seen pictures of former Young & Restless star Victoria Rowell’s (Drucilla Winters) daughter? She doesn’t look biracial at all. Here are pics:

to me it looked staged… and the kids, the girl, seemed nervous a bit when they were saying how much they loved him. sorry to burst everyone’s bubble, but looked like it was about 2 or 3 home videos, since the kids were in the same clothes throughout most of it.
i just think that it was done for court or for whomever so that they’d think he was a great dad. when you’re taking drugs, like he was and had been for sooooo long, how can you be such a great dad?!!!! it just isn’t possible.
