Candie’s Releases A New Batch Of Promo Photos Featuring Britney Spears
Candies.com has been updated with a whole slew of new very pink, very equestrian-themed promo photos featuring their new spokesmodel … the legendary Miss Britney Spears:
The last time Candie’s released promo pics was back in April but it looks like they are about to launch a new commercial onslaught based on Brit Brit’s newly released single/video Radar. As you may recall, the music video for Radar (which we saw here on the blog last week) features a very equestrian theme … and so do these new promo pics. After the jump, check ‘em out …
Okay … pink hay barrels may be a bit much and I don’t really understand the fascination with all the horses lately but these vivid promo pics are much more exciting to me than Britney’s music video for Radar is. There is a crazy vibrancy to these photos … I like. Sure, some may disregard these promo pics as over-the-top but I like ‘em. What do y’all think?

Wow! The first picture you showed, I honestly thought the face looked like Brooke Hogan. Closely, yeah its Britney, but sheesh, how much Photoshop can you use :P

OMG! I totally thought Brooke Hogan, too and I normally would never think the two look anything alike. I think it’s the fake-tan and super straight, back-combed, super bleachy-blonde hair. I think her bod looks pretty rockin’ but the hair/make-up is bad news!

I have to look at the top picture all the time now (work at kohls and the pics been plastered on all the registers). The new Kohls/Candies commercials are supposed to feature the Radar video….they’ve even posted the video on the kohls website.

I loved the pictures “after the jump” but the first picture – she looks old and tired. I definitely wouldn’t of chosen that one as the main picture to put in the stores!

Everybody keeps saying she looks like Brooke Hogan in the first pic! Hogan-face never came to mind but oh dear lord she looks totally fug in that first picture and her hand position and strained neck muscles….just makes it all look very uncomfortable. Whoever made the decision to place that picture in a major ad should be fired, fired, fired…….as for the other pictures, they’re very cute and she is deffo lookin’ good….although these are all very blase blase. Meh.

I am seeing bits of Brooke Hogan, Jessica Simpson, and Ann Farris in these photos. The only photo where she looks like her is the 2nd one. And only because she looks like her sister there.

I actually hate them. I think they are quite tacky… and she’s so photoshopped! Especially the ones with the horse and the dessert tray. I usually love Candies’ ads but these photos are too much like some Barbie fantasy farm.

Dude – I would be SO PISSED if EVERY pic of me in an ad was photoshopped beyond recognition!! Why don’t they just use computer-generated models that don’t even exist? Why manipulate someone’s physical appearance so drastically? Why USE that person if they’re not “perfect” enough?? Everytime she’s on a magazine cover or in an ad, her face, belly, arms and legs are all photoshopped… so much so that it turns it into a completely different person… That’s just ridiculous to me.

It reminds me of my Barbies and toy horses I use to play with. :)
I own, and have been around horses for several years, and I find it is hysterical how stylists/designers try to portray equestrian themes.
Its pretty much ridiculous and over the top.
(I guess that is the point sometimes.) lol
Usually, its no where near what our real attire and equipment typically is and looks like.
So its kind of a joke amongst the real equestrians, to see how non-horsey people portray us. ;)
It certainly gives us a laugh. (And potential ideas.) ;)
