Are You Ready For ‘Jennifer’s Body’?
Yesterday I blogged about a movie that I am very excited to see — District 9 which is due out in theaters on August 14 — and today I’d like to share another film I’m really looking forward to seeing. Like District 9, this film promises to be creepier if not outright scarier than you usual Summer flick … it was written by Academy Award winning screenwriter of Juno Diablo Coty, it stars Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen hottie Megan Fox and is titled Jennifer’s Body:
For those of you who are unaware of the premise of this film, Jennifer’s Body tells the tale of a very hot, very popular high school cheerleader (played by Fox) who has a demon inside her that likes to slaughter boys. Yep … that’s about the gist of it. From the promo materials I’ve seen of this flick, it looks really entertaining. It should be also mentioned that Megan Fox gets nekkid in the flick so — what more could you ask for. As you can see, there are quite a few great actors in this film as well … so it might actually be good. Alls I know is that it looks silly and fun and I can’t wait to see it … demon boobies and all :)

@Jenn — Ahh, sorry. I thought for some reason you were talking about Levi Johnston’s new name “Johnny Hollywood”. Regarding the title “Jennifer’s Body” for the film coming from the Hole song, I think you may be right. I believe Diablo is a big Hole fan.

this looks so bad it will be good…like the “Scream” trilogy. :) Can’t wait!!! And it boasts a pretty kick ass soundtrack judging by the bands it listed at the end!

Haha when Amanda Seyfried said her line about Jennifer being evil, I totally had some Buffy flashbacks. I’m definitely pumped for this one. I love Adam Brody and the guyliner!

I saw this movie at a test screening a few months ago (Diablo Cody was there, but no one but me seemed to recognize her). It was definitely entertaining, VERY funny! I think my favorite part though, was Adam Brody playing the lead singer of a rock band.

I LOVE Adam Brody! So excited to see him in it. As much as all the new movies in this genre are not that great anymore, i cant help but going to see every single one. I hope this one doesn’t disappoint. I dont want to see it with my BF though haha.

Naked boobies yes, but with pasties over the good parts.
Sounds as lame as Hayden Panittierre’s nudity in the Beth Cooper movie…
And the reason why two generations before remember Phoebe Cates so fondly….now there was full frontal boobage…

I think Amanda’s hotter than Megan! I remember when she was on Veronica Mars. Great show! Doubtful, but I hope that it becomes a movie. Megan’s acting is a little cheesy to me, like she doesn’t flow or something. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll still watch. :)

On paper I would normally go running from a movie like this as fast as I possibly could. But. THIS looks freakin’ fantastic and a totally fun romp. I’m down.

The storyline suggests an ordinary gorefest, but I like the little snippets of dialogue in this trailer, which suggest it may be something more. Cody seems to be going for something more subversive than the usual teen horror, and if she does this with as much sass and insight as she did with “Juno”, I can definitely see audiences responding very well to it.
