Paris Hilton Features In A New Herpes Ad?

Presumably not by choice
Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Okay … sometimes LMAO doesn’t really express how funny something is so I guess I’ll just have to explain. Paris Hilton, and her trademark wonky eye, are featured in a new online ad campaign for Viruxo Anti-Viral Support medication which is marketed to herpes sufferers to offset the effects of the disease. Clearly, it has been determined by the online ad folks at Viruxo that Paris Hilton (or a lookalike who looks A LOT like her) would be the PERFECT spokesmodel. Yes, folks, Paris is featured in a herpes ad. The campaign shows up on sites like Facebook and one assumes the ads were created without her authorization but … the shit is funny as hell nonetheless … behold:

Suffering with complications from the Herpes virus is devastating but not with VIRUXO. VIRUXO is the most effective immune support supplement WITHOUT a prescription! This incredible product keeps your immune system strong keeping most types of Herpes virus in check. This product has been proven effective against Herpes Sores (HSV-1, HSV-2).

100% GUARANTEED RESULTS If you don’t experience drastically reduced outbreaks with Viruxo or you are not satisfied for any reason with Viruxo, just return the bottle for a complete refund. Remember, with our guarantee, if your outbreaks aren’t greatly reduced, you get your money back.

No word on if Paris Hilton will personally come to your home to deliver your refunded money but that might be an added bonus for trying the stuff! Or … mebbe not. Methinks the folks at Viruxo will be hearing from Paris Hilton’s lawyers shortly about this viral campaign ;) In the mean time, I’ll be over here LMAOing.

Lindsay Lohan Goes Blonde Again, Doesn’t Heart New Weave

Goldilocks
Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Well … she’s gone and done it again. The recently re-red headed Lindsay Lohan has bleached her hair back to blonde, presumably for an upcoming movie/straight to DVD project, and spent 11 hours at the hair salon making the transformation. In between bleach and hair weave applications, Lindsay sparked up 42 cartons of cigarettes to help pass the time. Here are a few pics of the newly platinum L. Lo:

When Lindsay Lohan decided to go peroxide blonde, it was never going to be as simple as grabbing a bottle of bleach. The actress spent more than 11 hours at the hair salon yesterday, getting her naturally red hair dyed an eye-catching shade. During her epic salon session Lindsay could be glimpsed chatting and laughing with the staff, drinking from a glass, and even smoking an illicit cigarette. When she left the Byron and Tracey Hair Salon in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, at 11:30pm, her hair was extra long, following the insertion of extensions. Lindsay was wearing a short black dress with gladiator sandals and a black Fedora.

While the look is striking (and hopefully necessary), I must admit that I really love Lindsay as a red head rather than a blonde. She looks like she’s playing dress-up when she’s blonde. I much prefer her natural hair color. The whole blonde thing is so meh to me.

Jude Law Is Gonna Be A Babydaddy

A one-night stand leads to an 18-year commitment
Thursday, July 30th, 2009

I’ve got good news for Jude Law and some bad news for Jude Law. The good news is that he is going to be a father again!! The bad news is that the child was borne from a random fling with some chick last year and now he’s gonna be a babydaddy. I mean, it’s easy to see how Jude Law can get as much lurvin’ as he likes, what with all the sexiness and all, but DUDE! … wrap it up when you’re hookin’ up, yo! Move over Iris, Rudy and Rafferty … there’s a new Law baby on the way:

Jude Law’s spokesperson has released the following statement …

“Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year. Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child’s life. This is an entirely private matter and no other statements will be made.”

Law, 36, is currently single and has three children with his former wife, Sadie Frost. He will appear on Broadway in Hamlet, which opens in October, and will star opposite Robert Downey Jr. in the movie Sherlock Holmes, opening Dec. 25.

Oh, JudeJude, Jude, Jude … I don’t think this is going to help your persona as a player, my friend. I love how the spin is that he was in “a relationship” last year. LOL! I don’t recall any relationship … so you just know it was a fling. My guess is that Jude’s Jude’stache is what got him into trubs … with that sexy piece of facial hair luring in the ladies, well … I guess something like this is to be expected. Congrats on the new baby, Jude! You better take care of it, ya hear?

UPDATE: I’m hearing from a Pink reader that the rumor is that Jude Law knocked up Rachel McAdams’s sister Kayleen and Rachel was the one that pressured Jude into publicly admitting he fathered the child. I’m inclined to believe this bit of goss considering Jude could’ve met and hooked up with sister McAdams while filming Sherlock Holmes last year (Jude and Rachel co-star in the film). It doesn’t make sense that Jude would issue a public statement admitting that he fathered a lovechild unless he was pressured to do so by someone … HMMMMMM. Of course, we don’t know if any of this is true but it does make a helluva lotta sense. I suppose if Jude Law really did father a lovechild with Kayleen McAdams then that bit of goss cannot stay quiet for long. Juicy.

First Listen: Madonna, ‘Celebration’

Plus the ‘Celebration’ single gets new artwork
Thursday, July 30th, 2009

A week ago today we got our first look at the album artwork for Madonna’s latest greatest hits album Celebration and today we get our first look at the single coverartwork for the title track. Celebration will be released to radio on Friday July 31 and will be available for download at Amazon (DRM free) and iTunes next Tuesday August 4:

My compatriots, my friends, my peeps … I have been sent the full HQ version of this track and let me assure you, it is AWESOME! It’s the best single Madonna has released since Confessions on a Dancefloor. In fact, it has that great clubby sound that her single Get Together has … it’s one of those songs that you can totally lose yourself to on the dancefloor. To be 100% completely honest, I haven’t stopped playing the song since I first played it. It’s really goooood. Don’t believe me … then listen for yourselves. After the jump, hear the song in full …

Katherine Jackson & Debbie Rowe Reach A Custody Agreement On Michael Jackson’s Children

A deal has been struck BUT no money is involved
Thursday, July 30th, 2009

On July 1, we learned from Michael Jackson’s will that his mother Katherine Jackson was decreed as the sole guardian of his childrenPrince Michael Joseph, Paris Michael Katherine and Prince Michael Joseph II a.k.a. Blanket — and no mention was made of biological mother Debbie Rowe. Debbie took the matter to court to fight for custody of her children and for the past few weeks, negotiations have taken place behind closed doors to see if an agreement could be made on custody of the children. It’s been a bit back and forth but progress was made all the while. Today, Katherine’s lawyer reveals that an agreement has been reachedKatherine will keep custody of the children on the condition that Debbie can have visitation rights. It’s also worth noting that it was made clear that NO MONEY was made part of the custody agreement:

Michael Jackson’s mother will get custody of the late pop star’s three children after reaching a agreement with her son’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe, a lawyer for Katherine Jackson told CBS News on Thursday. Rowe will have “meaningful visitation rights” with her two biological children with Jackson — Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11 — U.S. television networks CBS, ABC and NBC reported. The biological mother of Jackson’s third child, Prince Michael II, 7, also known as Blanket, has never been revealed. Jackson’s mother, Katherine, 79, was granted temporary custody of the children after his death on June 25. “It’s an agreement, an agreement for the best interests of the children. This is not a money deal. This is not about money,” Londell McMillan, Katherine Jackson’s attorney, said in a an interview on CBS News’ “The Early Show.” “All of the parties are resolved. There is no situation better for these children than for them to be raised and reared in the loving care of Mrs. Katherine Jackson,” he said. A court hearing in Los Angeles on custody of the children is scheduled for Monday. Jackson said in his 2002 will he wanted his mother to care for the children if he died. The “Thriller” singer left his estate, valued at $500 million in an attachment to his will, to a family trust that benefits his children, his mother and charities. “That estate is worth, in my estimation, a couple of billion dollars,” McMillan said, referring to the value of the estate if it achieves its potential earnings. “You hear $500 million. Don’t buy it.” The coroner’s report on the cause of the singer’s death is still awaiting toxicology and other test results. His burial arrangements have not been announced.

Sounds like a good deal to me … the kids get to stay with the only mother figure they’ve ever known and their biological mother gets to check in on them from time to time to ensure that they are being taken care of. I’m most pleased with the fact that Rowe wanted no monetary settlement as part of the deal (tho, the cynic in me isn’t totally convinced — Katherine’s lawyer says, “This is not about money”, but that doesn’t expressly mean that money isn’t involved in secret — but I’ll give Rowe the benefit of the doubt). My concern is that at 79 (going on 80) years, Katherine will not be able to care for the children for as long as Debbie might … but something tells me that Debbie doesn’t really want to be a full-time mom anyways. We learned last week that the eldest Jackson sibling, Rebbie Jackson, will be the one to actually care for the children and help raise them … she sounds like the best option of all. Altho the homicide investigation into MJ’s death has yet to be completed and the toxicology report from his autopsy has been released, at least we can take comfort in the fact that matter of custody of his children has been settled in a fair and equitable manner. On that account, MJ can finally rest in peace.

Joe Jackson Reveals That Omer Bhatti Is Michael Jackson’s Son

"He looks like a Jackson, he acts like a Jackson, he can dance like a Jackson"
Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Last week we learned from Jermaine Jackson that it is very possible that Michael Jackson fathered a lovechild in the 80’s and that boy, Omer Bhatti, was welcomed into the Jackson family. The young man is so close with the Jacksons that he sat with them in the front row of MJ’s memorial service at the Staples Center on July 7. While Jermaine claims that is is possible that Omer is MJ’s firstborn child, he insisted that he did not know for sure if he really was MJ’s son. In a new interview with MJ’s father Joseph Jackson, TV One managed to get a straight answer on the paternity of Omer Bhatti. According to Joe Jackson, MJ was his father:

In the wake of Jermaine’s comments last week, Omer Bhatti went on the record to DENY that MJ was his father but in this new interview with TV One, Joe Jackson makes no qualms about revealing that MJ did father Omer Bhatti. After the jump, check out short video of Joe making his comments to TV One

Rachelle Lefevre Releases A Statement About Being Fired From ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’

She is "stunned" and "saddened" that she's been fired
Thursday, July 30th, 2009

I KNEW IT! I mother-effing knew it! Early Wednesday we learned that Summit Entertainment announced that actress Rachelle Lefevre has been replaced by actress Bryce Dallas Howard in the role of evil vampire Victoria for the third Twilight movie The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Summit explained that Rachelle was not able to fulfill the role of Victoria in Eclipse due to “scheduling conflicts” so they instead decided to hire Bryce in her place. At the time we heard the news, I KNEW that the “scheduling conflict” explanation was bullshit … and it turns out that I was right. Lefevre has issued an official statement on her firing and explains, in her words, how “stunned” and “saddened” she was to learn that she was fired from the role she originated. Here is the full text of her official statement:

“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for Eclipse. I was fully committed to the Twilight saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria. I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to Barney’s Version is only 10 days. Summit picked up my option for Eclipse. Although the production schedule for Eclipse is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those 10 days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for Eclipse, never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10-day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part. I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the Twilight audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of Eclipse only the very best.”

I SOOOOO knew it. Scheduling conflicts my ASS! There’s no way Summit couldn’t make the 10 days she would spend on the other film not work into the Eclipse shooting schedule. Summit must’ve LEAPED at the chance to hire Bryce Dallas Howard in her place because of who she is. It’s pretty damn gross that they would be so blatant about it. I feel so bad for Rachelle Lefevre because she really was great in the role of Victoria. Eclipse would’ve been her time to shine as Victoria’s role is more pronounced in that installment. Damn … the other Twilight actors better watch their backs. Who knows who else might get the axe should Summit Entertainment decide to replace them for a bigger name actor.

UPDATE: Summit Entertainment has issued their own official statement in response to Lefevre’s statement, here it is in full:

“We at Summit Entertainment are disappointed by Rachelle Lefevre’s recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the Studio. Her decision to discuss her version of the scheduling challenges publicly has forced the Studio to set the record straight and correct the facts. Ms. Lefevre’s representatives were advised as early as April that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE was expected to start shooting in early August. If Ms. Lefevre was, as she describes “passionate,” about being part of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, we feel that she and her representatives would have included us in her decision to work on another film that would conflict with the shooting schedule of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to BARNEY’S VERSION, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June. Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production. Furthermore Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least ten days of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE’s principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production. Contrary to Ms. Lefevre’s statement, it is simply untrue that the Studio dismissed her over a ten day overlap. It is not about a ten day overlap, but instead about the fact that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is an ensemble production that has to accommodate the schedules of numerous actors while respecting the established creative vision of the filmmaker and most importantly the story. The fact remains that Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to the other project – which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment – makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.” –Summit Entertainment

Oh snap … the studio doesn’t seem too happy at Rachelle’s comments on her firing but, to be honest, I still believe her. It’s way too convenient that Rachelle gets the boot and Summit gets the benefit of Bryce Dallas Howard stepping in to fill the role. And the fact that they kept the casting change a secret until after Rachelle did her duty and appeared at 2009 San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend is totally dubious. I still call bullshit on Summit’s shady dealings with their actors. Again I warn the Twilight cast, watch yer backs.
