"That's K-Fed?!?"
It Might Be Time To Start A Bump Watch For Kevin Federline

Kevin Federline, who honestly looks like he is pregs with triplets these days, made an appearance at the Ryan Sheckler X Games Celebrity Classic over the weekend and horrified employees of the event who couldn’t believe he has put on so much extra weight. I mean, we’ve all seen the photos of K-Fed getting bigger and bigger in recent months but … he just keeps getting bigger — behold:

Kevin Federline turned heads at a California sporting event Monday. But it wasn’t over his golfing skills; it was over his size. At one point at Ryan Sheckler X Games Celebrity Classic, an employee on the grounds saw Federline and remarked, “Man, that’s a belly on him! That’s K-Fed?!?” While other celebrities like Verne Troyer, Frankie Delgado and Josh Henderson participated in competitive activities, Federline, 31, spent some time with girlfriend Victoria Prince sitting on a shaded patio sipping vodka and orange juice cocktails and smoking cigarettes. Federline underwent scrutiny after packing on major pounds last spring. His ex Shar Jackson laughed off criticism. “It’s daddy weight!” she told Usmagazine.com at the time. “When you are a full time parent, sometimes you can’t focus on you. If gaining a few pounds is your only problem, life’s not too bad!”

It’s “daddy weight”??? OMG, that confirms it … K-Fed is gonna birth a litter of babies … which he’ll prolly outfit in Ed Hardy baby diapers! I guess the time really has come to start an official Bump Watch for The Federline.

WILL THE LEGGINGS NEVER GO AWAY?????
Hilary Duff Is The New Face Of ‘Femme By DKNY’

Not only is Hilary Duff joining the cast of Gossip Girl as a “movie star who enrolls at NYU” this coming season but she has also be tapped by DKNY as the new spokesmodel for their Femme by DKNY line. Apparently, the line features DKNY‘s trademark jeans but, for some reason, Hil D. just can’t seem to let her fascination with leggings die the painful death they deserve:

We first got a sneak peek of Hilary Duff’s Femme for DKNY Jeans line when Gossip Girl co-star Jessica Szohr turned up at a Louis Vuitton party sporting a $59 floral cardigan from the collection, and now, the ads are out. Hilary stars alongside models Sophie Srej and Gracie Carvalho in a New York City street-inspired ad campaign. Combining Hilary’s personal style and the individuality of New Yorkers — the inspiration behind her designs — the Femme for DKNY Jeans fall ‘09 ads were shot on the Manhattan streets by Scott Schuman, best known for his street style blog The Sartorialist. With Hilary joining the cast of Gossip Girl this fall, we couldn’t think of a better theme than the gritty and glam streets of New York for her latest design venture.

Um, I don’t know that the “individuality of New Yorkers” can really be expressed in a line of clothing designed from inspirations gleaned from the ex-Lizzie Maguire but … good for her for making the effort! I’m sure these new threads will be flying off the shelves … especially if any of them get featured on upcoming eps of Gossip Girl. And suddenly, Hilary‘s decision to join the show makes much more sense. At least she, unlike some of her poptart contemporaries with their own lines of clothing, has got a more respectable design house behind her. Will any of YOU be wearing Femme by DKNY this season?

It's bustin' time!
The Black Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranger Busted!

Here’s a little bit of news that is sure to kill a little piece of your childhood. Walter Jones, who starred as the original Black Power ranger on the 90′s TV series Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, was arrested over the weekend for DUI:

It seems that Jones didn’t pick up any of those morals that he and his Power Ranger cohorts were peddling to kids on their TV show about good vs. evil. It seems that he thinks that it is OK to drink, drive and put other people’s lives in danger … here is the moron’s mug shot:

The guy who played the Black Ranger on “The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers” TV show
was busted in ‘Bama for DUI this weekend. We’re not trying to be insensitive in a Harvard sort of way. His character, Zack Taylor, was the guy who dressed up in the black spandex costume and fought evil monsters back in the day. We’re told the actor — whose real name is Walter Jones — was arrested Sunday night by Alabama State Troopers in Huntsville and booked into a local jail. Jones eventually met bail and was released.

Tsk, tsk. I seem to recall that Skylar Deleon, who also appeared on Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers in the 90′s, was arrested, convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of a SoCal couple. HMMMM. What the hell happened to all the Power Rangers? I wonder what Amy Jo Johnson (the Pink Power Ranger and ex co-star on Felicity) thinks about this? So sad … so, very sad.

Eliza Dushku Does ‘FHM’ Magazine

The incredibly sexy Eliza Dushku, the once Faith the Vampire Slayer and current star of Joss Whedon‘s latest effort Dollhouse, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of FHM magazine … and she is lookin’ damn good, if I do say so myself. Here is Eliza‘s sexy FHM coverphoto:

I mean … it’s Eliza — in bathing suits — AND UNDERWEAR — what more do you need to know? Yes there is a coverstory interview, yes she talks about her role as an action hero in Dollhouse but … do we really care about anything other than the accompanying photospread? After the jump, check out a bunch of photos of Eliza in the September issue of FHM

The TV Guide
Little ‘Orphan’ Esther

Last night David and I finally got our asses to a movie theater to see a movie, something I’ve been wanting to do for weeks now, and we decided to see Orphan. To be honest, David isn’t a big movie person but I know he likes scary movies so … Orphan was our pic. I heard that there is a twist ending so I did everything humanly possible to avoid finding out what it is — and I am so glad that I did cuz that movie mind-effed me so bad, I totally didn’t see it coming … and was left ENTIRELY disturbed as a result:

To be honest, I can totally see how some folks might hate the movie and think the “twist” is stupid but those people are no fun. Orphan is full of great suspense and circumstances that make the almost implausible story totally believable. I ate it up — hook, line and sinker! I ain’t gonna lie … I was creeped out … but the ending, HOLY SHIZZ, wow … I was quite literally left slack-jawed. Kudos to Isabelle Fuhrman who plays little orphan Esther, her performance was stellar. I also loved Aryana Engineer, for a child actress she was really great. The movie is ridiculously fun, I loved it. It deffo should win the award for best use of blacklight paint — hands down, genius! DO TRY AND NOT FIND OUT what the twist is if you think you’ll see the movie. Hearing about it first will sound dumb and will ruin the movie … if you see it cold and go with it, you will be horribly surprised :)

I spent much of the rest of my night going thru my concert ticket stubs from all the shows I’ve seen over the years. Since about 2004, I’ve been tossing my concert tickets into a box but from 1991 – 2004 I kept them organized in albums. I decided it was time to catalog my tickets so that’s what I did. I also did an accounting and figured out that I’ve seen Tori Amos 41 times (soon to be 42), Nine Inch Nails 20 times (soon to be 28), Marilyn Manson 13 times, Prince 11 times, Liz Phair 10 times, Juliana Hatfield and Britney Spears 9 times and Siouxisie & the Banshees/The Creatures/Siouxsie 8 times. I’ve also seen Garbage 6 times, Madonna 5 times and Morrissey 3 times … but the aforementioned acts are my most attended shows. And, much to my chagrin, I remembered that my first concert was C+C Music Factory. I’ll go hide my face in shame now.

No plans for tonight … we’ll see where the day takes me.

Shirley & Gwen 'Stand and Deliver' at the Gibson Amphitheater
Shirley Manson Joins No Doubt On Stage In LA

How’s this for an awesome surprise … No Doubt played a concert here in LA last night at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City and brought out a very special surprise guest for their encore performance. During their cover of the Adam and the Ants song Stand and Deliver, Shirley Manson of Garbage came out on stage to duet with Gwen and No Doubt on the track! Here are caps from video of the performance along with a short review of the overall No Doubt concert:

No Doubt never get old. Their comeback jaunt could’ve easily been dubbed “The Forever Young Tour.” The Orange County pop rockers sounded better than ever at the sold out Gibson Amphitheater tonight. Gwen Stefani, Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal and Adrian Young were just as magical as they were when Tragic Kingdom took over pop culture back in 1995—maybe even more so. A white curtain covered the stage at the start of the show. Four shadows instantly came into frame. It was more like the beginning of a Stanley Kubrick film than a rock show. Instead of a big black monolith, the crowd got one of the most important musical acts of the 1990s. With as many hits as they have, they’re monolithic in their own right. The white ramp riser curled around the entire stage, and it gave Gwen and Co. a whole lot of room to bounce around … Gwen didn’t speak much, but when she did she was greeted with massive cheers. She smiled, “I can’t believe this is my life! This is incredible.” What makes Gwen great is she’s still “Just a Girl” though. She busted out a few push-ups really quickly and then jumped into her massive girl power anthem, even getting the boys to belt out the chorus. The ultimate girl power moment came during the encore though. Garbage’s Shirley Manson and openers The Sounds joined No Doubt for a rousing rendition of Adam Ant’s “Stand and Deliver.” Gwen and Shirley are icons to a whole generation of females, and seeing them on stage together was a momentous, once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. Their voices volleyed back and forth incredibly, and the audience erupted.

You can click HERE to read the full text of this concert review (it’s actually quite good) but the real importance here is the surprise appearance by Shirley Manson. After the jump, check out video of Shirley‘s duet with No Doubt last night …

Blames her song co-writer, who wrote both songs
Kelly Clarkson Is Pissed Her Song ‘Already Gone’ Sounds A Lot Like ‘Halo’ By Beyoncé

Kelly Clarkson, who just released the music video for her new single Already Gone, is spitting mad that folks think that she ripped off the music of her newest single from Beyoncé‘s hit single Halo … particularly because she is among the folks who can hear the striking similarity. In a new interview with CBC Radio, Kelly fumes about the fact that co-writer Ryan Tedder (from the band One Republic who penned Already Gone AND Halo) appears to have sold both ladies the same song with different lyrics … and she is pissed!

If you’ve noticed similarities between Kelly Clarkson’s new single “Already Gone” and Beyoncé’s hit “Halo,” well, you’re not the only one. Turns out Clarkson has also noticed, and she’s not too happy about it. In an interview with Canada’s CBC radio network, the former “American Idol” champ said she was unaware of any similarities between her song and Beyoncé’s “Halo” until she heard the two songs side by side (according to Clarkson, her All I Ever Wanted album was finished before Beyoncé’s I Am … Sasha Fierce was released). And she’s not mincing words about who she blames for the similarities: OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote both songs. “Ryan and I met each other at the record label, before he was working with anyone else. He’s from Oklahoma, I’m from Texas; we got along really well and had some of the same influences,” Clarkson said. “We wrote about six songs together, four or five of them made the album. It was all fine and dandy. I’d never heard of a song called ‘Halo’ … [Beyoncé's] album came out when my album was already being printed. “No one’s gonna be sittin’ at home, thinkin’ ‘Man, Ryan Tedder gave Beyoncé and Kelly the same track to write to,’ ” she continued. “No, they’re just gonna be sayin’ I ripped someone off. I called Ryan and said, ‘I don’t understand. Why would you do that?’ ” “Gone” and “Halo” do share some striking similarities, most notably in the backing track, which features somber piano, crashing drums and hand-claps. Clarkson — who clashed with her label in the past — said that she’s upset that “Already Gone” was released as a single without her blessing, but that, at this point, there’s really nothing to do about the situation. “It sucks, but it’s one of those things I have no control over,” she told the CBC. “I already made my album. At this point, the record company can do whatever they want with it. It’s kind of a shitty situation, but … you know, you learn.” At press time, a spokesperson for Tedder had not responded to MTV News’ request for comment on the situation.

To be honest, I didn’t immediately notice the similarity between the songs when I heard them both separately … at different times. But since the release of Kelly‘s new single, I thought it sounded very familiar … and then the handclaps cued me in to the Halo recognition. Shoot, if I were her … I’d be pissed, too … especially since despite the fact that Kelly‘s album was finished first, Halo was released months ago well ahead of the release of Already Gone. Methinks Mr. Ryan Tedder has got some ‘splainin’ to do. After the jump, check out the music videos for both Kelly Clarkson‘s Already Gone and Beyoncé‘s Halo for a side-by-side comparison …

Brings her robot child with her
Katie Holmes Returns To The Movie Set That Almost Killed Her

Yesterday we learned the disturbing news that Katie Holmes was almost seriously injured in a movie set accident when the car she was riding in burst into flames after the car battery exploded. Altho she was shaken up pretty bad, Katie managed to evade death and escaped the car unharmed. Here are new pictures of Katie back on the set of her film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark running around and playing with her only begotten child Suri Holmes-Cruise as if the accident never happened:

As you may recall, the plotline of Katie‘s new movie involves her character being terrorized by evil gnomes … perhaps Suri is auditioning for a part in the flick? I keed, I keed!! Clearly, Katie doesn’t feel that the movie set of death is at all a danger to her young child … or does she?????? Whatever the case may be, it’s a relief to see Katie lookin’ so well after enduring such an upsetting incident. Now she can go back about her biz of making movies that no one has any interest in watching.
