Last weekend we got our first look at the NEW trailer for season 6 of Project Runway which premieres on Lifetime TV on August 20 and while that is all well and good, there is even MORE good news to pass along. Lifetime has announced that they will air Project Runway: All-Star Challenge in conjunction with the debut of the new season of PR to ensure that fans of the show are well taken care of when the series moves to its new home network. According to Entertainment Weekly magazine, the All-Star Challenge will pit 8 former (and much beloved) PR contestants in a battle of fashion wits for a prize of $100,000! Here is who will be competing in this All-Star Challenge:

Kicking off its sixth season, Project Runway will welcome back eight superstar designers from years past, including Santino Rice (pictured), Jeffrey Sebelia and Sweet P, for a special two-hour “All-Star Challenge.” Prior to Lifetime’s Project Runway season premiere and the series premiere of Models of the Runway on Aug. 20, the Runway alums will match wits and fashions to compete for a $100,000 cash prize. Here is the official press release: For the first time in Project Runway history, eight former fan favorites and Project Runway superstars are returning to the catwalk to compete against one another in the two-hour special, Project Runway: All-Star Challenge. The spirited competition premieres Thursday, August 20, at 8PM ET/PT and will be followed by the highly anticipated premiere of the sixth season of Project Runway at 10PM ET/PT and the debut of the all-new companion series, Models of the Runway, at 11PM ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Lifetime Television and The Weinstein Company. At stake for the designers are not only the ultimate bragging rights, but also a $100,000 cash prize. Will the designers be up to the challenge of returning to the workroom, working under the “Gunn” (as in Tim Gunn) to create a successful fashion line? Are they ready to, once again, face the critiques of Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, as they showcase their creations?

Wow!! What a great idea! I’ve always thought that PR should do an All-Star Challenge and I finallly got my wish. How amazing do Uli, Korto and Sweet P look? I think Jeffrey could do without the porn’stache and WTF? is up with the spelling of Michael Mychael Knight‘s name? That’s new, right? Oh … who cares?! I am so in love with this idea. I can’t wait to see it! We’ve got SO MUCH Project Runway awesomeness to look forward to. Thus far, I’m very impressed with what Lifetime is doing with my fave competitive reality TV show. Here are a few new photos of Jennifer Lopez and her co-star Alex O’Loughlin on the NYC set of their new film The Back-Up Plan which is currently in production. As you can see, the on-screen couple have themselves a couple of twin babies who are supercute … they make a nice fake family, don’t you think?

In all honesty, J. Lo looks much better when she’s paired up with Alex O’Loughlin than she does with her real zombie-like hubby Marc Anthony. BUT, sometimes fiction is better than truth. On the LopAnthony front, J. Lo joined Marc at a press conference to announce to the world that they are now part-owners of the Miami Dolphins football team. On the season finale of Gossip Girl last Spring many changes took place with the gang to set up the coming season (filming now in NYC). We saw that Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass finally got together and we were introduced to the lovechild of Lily van der Woodsen and Rufus Humphrey. Here on the blog a few weeks ago, we learned that Joanna Garcia (formerly of The CW series Privileged) has joined the cast … and, of course, Michelle Trachtenberg is back as Georgina Sparks. Here are a few new pics of some of the cast on the NYC set of Gossip Girl this week:

I LOVE seeing Ed Westwick in fun t-shirt … clearly he was not in full Chuck Bass costume yet ‘cuz Chuck would never be seen in public wearing a t-shirt. I also love that Chace Crawford is carrying Joanna Garcia‘s purse. Chace totally strikes me as the purse-carrying sort of fella. Earlier this year, hot on the heels of the marginal success of the remake of the famed 80′s horror slasher flick Friday the 13th (which hit theaters last February … Friday the 13th), we learned that plans were in the works for a redux of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Back in February, a ridic rumor that Lindsay Lohan had signed on to appear in the film started making the rounds and was quickly debunked. BUT, the movie did go into production and today we get our first look at Jackie Earle Haley in the role of Freddy Krueger in the new version of A Nightmare on Elm Street:

There was plenty of speculation as to who would take over the Freddy Krueger role once Platinum Dunes and New Line made it clear Robert Englund would not return for the new A Nightmare on Elm Street (set visit preview). Buzz built when actor Jackie Earle Haley signed onto the role and continued when fans considered what he would look like in the reboot hitting theaters on April 16, 2010. Here is your first look at a photo of Krueger, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit more for the full reveal.

ARGH!! This “first look” is a very crafty way to tease the new film without giving ANYTHING away. That could be your aunt Mable in this Freddy Krueger costume for all we know. I’m sure there will be plenty more to come from this new redux in the coming days … I understand Nightmare will have a heavy presence at Comic-Con this weekend. OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! Yesterday was one of those great chill days for me where I didn’t leave the house … at all. ‘Twas nice just bummin’ around not having to be anywhere. I was expecting a delivery that was scheduled to arrive by 7pm and wouldn’t you know it, it didn’t arrive until 7pm. I shant complain tho because the delivery was of my new limited edition Leica D-LUX 4 Titanium camera:

I’m a big Leica fan … they make, IMHO, the best small size digital cameras around. I have been able to snap the most amazing photos in very low light concert settings with ease. I am very much looking forward to using my new camera to photograph the upcoming final Nine Inch Nails concerts in NYC and LA at the end of August/early September. Woot!!

Tonight, David and I are planning to hang out with our friend Johnny (who we haven’t seen in ages) but I’m not sure what the plan is just yet. Tho, hanging with Johnny is always fun so I’m not worried at all. Hope things are fabulous where you are ;)

Last week we got our first look at Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in the new film Iron Man 2 (due out in theaters next Spring) and today we get to check out another new photo of Scarlett as Romanoff along with new promo pics of the other characters in Iron Man 2 … including Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle as Col. He’s having trouble with his Russian accent, which is turning the intended line from the Iron Man 2 script — “until you’ve lost everything” — into “Until you’ve lost every ting.” And the off-camera epithets are flying. The raucous festivities at Comic-Con get underway tonight and will carry forth into the weekend. I have to say, as much fun as the superhero/sci-fi lovefest sounds I cannot, for the life of me, imagine that I would not have my head explode if I indulged. I never had the chance to attend Comic-Con when it wasn’t such a big deal … now that it’s the biggest deal ever, I can’t say that I have any interest in throwing myself into the fray. I’m sure that the legions of fans who are making their way to SD right now (and over the coming days) will have a blast … I will be just happy to watch from afar … and by “afar” I mean right here at home ;)

Britney Spears, currently on tour in Europe on the latest leg of her concert tour The Circus starring Britney Spears, was spotted out and about on the streets of Stockholm, Sweden this week in between performances enjoying the company of her children — Sean Preston and Jayden James — and her boyfriend/agent Jason Trawick. Look at this beautiful family … don’t they all look so happy together? I can’t get over how much Jason Trawick beams whenever he is around Britney and her sons. I absolutely love Brit Brit with Tra Tra … they make the cutest couple ever. Here’s hoping they’re in it for the long haul cuz this seems to be Britney‘s most stable adult relationship yet. Daniel Radcliffe, who can currently be seen in theaters in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is finally confirming that he is not only involved in a romantic relationship but that he has been involved in said relationship for quite some time. DanRad has confessed that he and his Equus co-star Laura O’Toole have been dating for some time now … sorry y’all, he’s taken:

Always keeping his lips tightly sealed when he is asked about his love life, Daniel Radcliffe finally reveals his dating partner. “My girlfriend is Laura O’Toole, and she was in ‘Equus’ with me. But I don’t really want to talk about that, because she’s not here and it’s not fair,” the British actor tells U.K. OK! Magazine. Daniel and Laura were co-stars in a revival of Peter Shaffer’s 1973 play “Equus”. Laura was known as the understudy for the lead female character of Jill, played by Joanna Christie, who engaged in a lengthy nude sex scene with Daniel’s character Alan Strang. Report that Daniel dating Laura, who is four years his senior, first emerged in November 2007 after they played together in the particular play. They were said to be “very close” and were even photographed enjoying a shopping trip together in Fullham, West London. Back in January 2008, the “Harry Potter” leading actor was said splitting from Laura. Their separation reportedly took place in late 2007. News of the World quoted the female star as confirming, “Daniel and I are still good friends and have a good time when we see each other. But we just have to be realistic.” However, Daniel has confirmed to OK! Magazine that he and Laura never parted ways.

I’d say that all those nights appearing on stage together totally nekkid might’ve had some influence on these two actors getting together. I imagine, first, they took comfort in the fact that they were both bearing more than their souls on a nightly basis in front of sold out audiences. Then, I suspect the hormonal part took over … and voila! Dan has always talked about how he enjoys the company of older women, I suspect those comments were a secret nod to his older girlfriend. I’m glad to know that DanRad is gettin’ some lovin’. He strikes me as solid young man and deffo deserves happiness. Dan and Laura make a cute couple, no?
