Here is a supercute pic of Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, their firstborn daughter Harlow Winter and their incubating baby bump to the Santa Monica Pier here in SoCal on Sunday for a lovely family outing together … behold:

It won’t be long now before Nic/Joel welcome the birth of their newest little addition to the family (will it be a boy? will it be a girl?) so I’m sure they’re doing all they can to enjoy as much time together as a threesome as they can before the new baby takes center stage. It’s so insane to think that Harlow Winter is about to become a big sister … it feels like she was just born yesterday. I’m just so happy for the Richie-Madden family … they seem so happy and are deffo so in love with one another. I predict that they won’t stop at just 2 babies ;) Aren’t they just the cutest?

Last week we got our first look at the cover artwork for Whitney Houston‘s new album I Look To You (due out in stores on September 1) after she and music mentor/mogul Clive Davis previewed the album at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in London’s Knightsbridge. Today we learn that Whit Whit has made her way back home to the US and just flew into NYC lookin’ all kinds of amazing:

In early 2008, Britney Spears suffered a mental breakdown after many months of dangerous and frantic behavior (seemingly perpetrated by her “friends” at the time Osama Sam Lutfi and “cousin” Alli Sims, who have since been expunged from her life) that forced authorities to put her under psychiatric care using medical Code 5150. Since that time, the court has ruled that Britney could not be in control of her person or legal affairs and installed her father, Jamie Spears, as her legal conservator. Under his care, Britney has made a stunning comeback which included (among many triumphs) a return to acting, the creation of a hit album and the launch of a hugely successful world tour (which is currently still underway). After all these months of positive growth, it seems that the time may soon come when Britney will no longer need to be handled as a mental incompetent and will, once again, be a legally free woman. Her conservatorship may come to an end very, very soon:

Britney Spears’ daddy is ready to release his daughter into the wild again — we’ve learned the conservatorship may be coming to an end. Sources tell us Jamie Spears will ask the court to review the terms of the conservatorship after her concert tour ends in November. Jamie can’t ask the judge to end it — just to review it. The judge then decides if Britney should regain control of her life. We’re told Jamie thinks Britney is ready to roll on her own. He has made her life his full time job since February, 2008. Fact is … if it weren’t for the tour, given Britney’s progress, the judge might already have made the decision to undo the conservatorship. The various vendors were promised under their contracts that the conservatorship would stay in tact throughout the tour.

To be honest, I felt that Britney should’ve been released from her conservatorship some time ago (and, apparently, were it not for her tour she prolly her conservatorship might’ve ended sooner) but who am I to laugh in the face of a situation that still continues to benefit her. It appears that her father just wants to make 1000% sure that she is OK again before cutting her loose. I always felt that having her parents in control of her person when she was in such dire straits was the best thing for her … and seeing how much she’s grown since those dangerous days is the proof that the right thing was done for her. I’m so proud of all of Britney‘s hard work. I knew this conservatorship would not last forever … and it does feel like the time is right for it to end. Sad news to pass along today … it seems that the torrid love/lust affair between 50-year old Madonna and her early 20-something paramour toyboy Jesus Luz has run its course and come to an end. As you may recall, Madonna & Child met on the Brazilian set of her W magazine photoshoot with Steven Klein late last year and the couple set tongues wagging in the months that followed because they were virtually inseparable. BUT, once Maddy was finally allowed to adopt an even younger child (ie. Chifundo Mercy James) she seems to have lost interest in Jesus and decided to cut him loose. They’re dunzo, y’all:

It was only going to be a matter of time before Madonna tired of her latest plaything. And I can now report that the Material Girl has ended her relationship with 22-year-old Brazilian model Jesus Luz after just seven months. The 50-year-old has told Jesus, whose career was given a huge boost by the affair, that she “doesn’t have enough time for him” now she is touring Europe. A pal told me: “Jesus has been accompanying Madonna on tour but they have been staying in separate hotel rooms. Jesus is doing everything he can to persuade Madonna they should stay together. He’s hanging in there like a lost puppy. Chances are they will be seen out again together, as it’s good for both their images, but Madonna has made it clear it’s only a friendship.”

So sad … poor Jesus. You knew it was only a matter of time before Madge tired of her latest toy. To be honest, I’m surprised she gave him the time of day for as long as she did. I mean, you know that Maddy loves the younger Latino men but that she would carry on with the lad for 7 months is pretty amazing … for him. Now that she’s got Mercy James to take care of, it makes sense that she would discard the other child she was tending to before Mercy joined her family. You can’t feel too bad for Jesus Luz, tho. His affiliation with Madonna opened more doors for him than would’ve been accessible had they never engaged in their little fling. Maddy got good “companionship”, Jesus got work … it’s win/win! Are YOU sad that these two decided to call it quits? Do you think anyone will care about Jesus Luz any longer now that he’s been dumped by Madonna?
