Back in January we learned that Lindsay Lohan was selected as the new spokesmodel for the Italian clothing line Fornarina … shortly thereafter, we got to see her pretty pictures as featured in the Spring 09 ad campaign. Last Spring, after Wentworth Miller’s character on Prison Break was killed off in the series finale, it was reported that Miller would be finding new life on the hit NBC series Law & Order: SVU. This week, Wentworth was spied on the NYC set of SVU with his new co-stars Mariska Haritay and Christopher Meloni but, alas, much like Hilary Duff’s guest appearance on the show last season, Wentworth’s appearance on the show will be for one ep only:

Prison Break star Wentworth Miller will guest star in the Season 11 premiere of Law & Order: SVU, TVGuide.com has confirmed. Miller, who spent years running from the police on Prison Break, will be on the other side of the law this time around. He will play a NYPD cop named Nate Kendal, who saves a rape victim and crosses paths with Benson and Stabler. Alas, Miller’s run won’t extend beyond the one episode. SVU premieres Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9 pm/ET on NBC.

It’s nice to see that Wentworth can find new work if he wants it. I really enjoyed him in Prison Break the first season … it was only mid-way thru season 2 that the show started to suck balls. I don’t usually watch any of the Law & Orders but I understand it’s a very popular series. I’m more a CSI: kinda guy. In any event, best of luck to Wentworth on this guest appearance … mebbe he can sort out more permanent work sometime soon.

Brad Pitt is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Wired magazine. For some strange, unknown reason … Pitt thought it would be best to promote his new WWII era film Inglourious Basterds by appearing on the cover of the tech mag. Yeah, I dunno. Here is our first look at his Wired magazine cover and some info about his piece:

Brad Pitt even looks hot in a headset. The star of Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Nazi-scalping action flick Inglourious Basterds graces the August cover of Wired magazine, and PEOPLE.com has a first look. Pitt, 45, sports a wireless cell phone headset and gives advice – in his Inglourious character – on a variety of subjects, including conduct at work, etiquette and those sometimes awkward cyber dilemmas. “Who cares if your Warcraft wife is really a dude,” Pitt is quoted as saying on the cover. “If it’s good, don’t check under the hood.” According to Wired, Pitt was intrigued by the magazine’s May Mystery issue, which featured Star Trek director/writer J.J. Abrams, and he wanted to break away from the traditional celebrity magazine story. For the photo shoot last month, Pitt came alone to the Smashbox Studios in West Hollywood and was photographed by portraitist Dan Winters. The August issue of Wired hits newsstands July 21. Inglourious Basterds is due in theaters Aug. 21.

Hahhahaha … it sounds like Braddy boy really had a fun time with this Wired magazine piece. I’m pretty sure Wired is about the only magazine that Brad Pitt hasn’t appeared on … so I guess it was only a matter of time.

Earlier today we learned that David Beckham recently got a new tattoo inked onto his arm in celebration of his 10 year wedding anniversary with Victoria Beckham. During his interview with Matt Lauer on the Today Show this morning, Becks revealed that he had 10 roses tattooed around his arm … one rose for each year he’s been married to Vicki B. Here is what Becks’s new rose tattoo looks like:

David Beckham was obviously keen to show off his new tattoo. Dressed in a sleeveless vest which revealed his toned biceps, he posed for the cameras as he returned to the pitch for the first time for team LA Galaxy following his loan to AC Milan. But with his body already covered in numerous inkings only the most eagle-eyed of fans would have spotted the newly added ‘ring o’ roses’ on his left arm. As with many of his etchings, there is a romantic reason behind them – each rose symbolises a year of his marriage to wife Victoria. Beckham is said to be planning a pair of ‘tattoo sleeves’, covering his right and left arms. And the new roses will certainly help the 34-year-old on the way to his goal. The rose tattoo was acquired recently as they were not visible when Beckham starred in his recently unveiled advertising campaign for Emporio Armani. The new ink comes after the couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on July 4 with a luxury getaway to a private island in the Seychelles. While Victoria may be pleased with his latest romantic etching, David was said to have caused angry scenes when he ignored his wife’s advice and added a biblical proverb to his arm. The design – created by Beckham’s regular artist Louis Malloy – was a Hebrew translation of ‘My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart.’ It accompanied another Hebrew phrase on the same arm which reads: ‘I am my beloved and my beloved is mine’. But a source said: ‘Victoria doesn’t think David should have any more tattoos and tried to stop him having another. She likes them but wants a bit of his skin to be left, but David went ahead with it anyway.’

Aww … what a cute gesture. While I personally think that Becks should prolly cool it with the tats, I find it hard to believe that his wife VB has any problem with his decision to get as many tattoos as he likes. The couple made it thru 10 years together … which is a very good indication that the couple will be together for many more years to come. I don’t really love the roses … do you?

Earlier today we learned that a fabulous-looking Whitney Houston was on hand in London, England last night to preview tracks off of her upcoming new album I Look To You. At the event, a couple of promo images were on display and I guessed that one of them might be the coverphoto of her album … and I was right. Much of yesterday was spent prepping the apartment for Sarah’s arrival from Detroit today so David and I pretty much spent most of the day indoors. I did manage to run out for supplies but that was about it. I was able to FINALLY get to preview the pilot episode of the new ABC series V, which is based on the 80’s miniseries of the same name that aired on NBC:

They promise to do no harm. They’re lying. Most people believe the aliens have arrived just when we needed them most. Erica discovers that the aliens have plans to infiltrate our governments and businesses, planting seeds for their plot to control mankind. Second, they’ve rallied our youth. Thousands of teens, including Erica’s son, have been recruited as ‘Peace Ambassadors’ but they’re actually serving as unwitting spies. As you may recall, we learned that ABC officially picked up V back in May and then a couple days later got our first look at the extended trailer for the series. Now, I don’t want to give anything away about the pilot but I will say HOLY SHITBALLS it’s awesome!! The story has been updated a bit for the times but all of the core themes of the original miniseries are still in tact. Elizabeth Mitchell (of Lost) stars in the series and, man, she was made for this role. Yes, she is good as Juliette in Lost but I do love her as the hard-nosed FBI agent who learns the truth that the Visitors are trying to keep hidden. I seriously loved every second of the pilot ep … I cannot WAIT to see more. I have a great feeling this series will do very well when ABC finally airs it on TV.

I am happy to report that Sarah arrived in LA safe and sound and is already napping from her early morning flight. We’re planning dinner with friends tonight and then our adventures get started tomorrow. Woot!!
