This weekend my really good friends, Kirsten & Darion, and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary as friends and we decided to make our weekly Sunday night hang out session a celebration of our friendship. We met up for dinner together at Baby Blues BBQ for some amazing grub …

… before making our way to the Lemmle Theater to see a Norwegian film called DØD SNØ or Dead Snow in English. I had heard about this comedy/horror film that features a group of young folks being terrorized by Nazi zombies and I knew it was a movie that we had to see together:

People, the movie is absolutely brills. It’s very much a modern take on Evil Dead (which even gets a shout-out in the film) but set in the snowcapped mountains rather than the Michigan wilderness. The movie is cheesy, funny and a bit scary. It’s all kinds of ridiculous and I cannot endorse the film more! See it … you will love it! Except for the questionable scene in the outhouse (if you see the flick, you’ll know what I mean), I loved every single second of this movie. Head over to DeadSnow.com to check out the trailer … trust me, you will love.
The rest of the night was pretty chill, David and I watched True Blood (yes, it was a bloody night for us) and then called it a night. No plans for today just yet but … I think I might hear the pool calling my name … HMMMMM.

That is brills to do with your friends. Especially if you can get them to pay:)!! True Blood was good last night. I am really loving this season. Eric is becoming the stand out Hottie! I love his track suit! I love Sookie is standing up for herself!
I am hooked on True Blood, I love it!!!
The guy in the second pic from the movie resembles Jim Carrey’s Fire Marshall Bill character from In Living Color.
That movie looks Amazing! It seems to have a little Shaun of the Dead in it, too.
I’m going to try to see it this weekend. Thanks for the tip!

Question: Did you ever see Simon Peg’s movie, “Shaun of the Dead” (FUNNY)? If so, how does this “Dead Snow” movie rate against it?
@rossy — LOVE ‘Shaun of the Dead’. I think ‘Shaun’ is funnier but ‘Dead Snow’ is really entertaining … I loved it :)
Oh my God I can’t believe you saw “Dead Snow”! I’m from Norway, and have it on my computer. Didn’t think anybody else even knew that Norway was a country, u might just be the only one :p
