I think some of you arent getting it they said “who is ruining POP CULTURE” meaning they acutually have to be POP STARS!! Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Heidi Montag arent pop stars, Hell Heidi doesnt even have a real job! Im not a Hannah Montana fan, I dont even watch the show, but I do like Miley Cyrus (a little) and I dont know her to call her a slut.

LOL! Miley’s voice is like a cheese grater to the ears. Ruining pop culture? How about ruining Disney too? Disney used to have class, which the Cyrus family clearly does not have: http://www.gettyimages.com/det...../WireImage <- Yeah, that’s her little sister. A friend of mine linked me to that the other week and we couldn’t believe how a little girl could be wearing stuff like that, and why her parents would allow photos of her dressed like that to be taken and posted on the internet!

im 21 (not ageing) and i agree 100% that miley needs to go back to obscurity PRONTO! she’s not extraordinarily talented (mediocre i say), she just has 2 parents who are willing to pimp her out to hollywood for big bucks. the VF saga, the jonas bro/underware model love triangle, the over-zealous declarations of love for jesus and church when she’s taking half-naked photos of herself and acting in ways that are far from christian.. its all too much and ridiculous.

I grew up listening to quality pop music – old school teen-idol one hit wonders with great songs. I tried listening to one of her singles on youtube and it was terrible. It’s disgusting that the quality of pop music has turned into this.

I call it now….Miley’s star will burn out in the next couple of years once Hannah Montana is over. She’s maybe had like 2 successful songs and whoever said she’s the next B. Spears is waaaaaay off. Homegirl has hit some major success at an early age, but it’ll be gone once her show is done and her music is all she has left…

I do not understand that at all. I don’t see a problem with the girl except the fact that a whole lot of people who are supposed to be adults seem to really enjoy making fun of her and tearing her down over trivial things, such as her nose ring. I think they made the wrong choice. I think Heidi Montag and that joke of a husband would have been a more appropriate decision. They would go to an opening of an envelope. I agree with most of the other posters: Lindsay Lohan, Paris, Speidi, etc., are celebrities based on the fact they merely exist and nothing more. Lindsay has talent, but her desire for the wrong things has overtaken her abilities.

Yeah I happen to think Miley Cyrus sucks a ton, but I agree that their are so many other “celebs” who are doing just as bad if not worse. Instead of one award they should have a show about it. I personally would put VH1 and MTV on the list of things ruining pop culture, because they’re the ones who introduced us to all these morons.

@ Maureen – How is she the epitome of pop culture? Her character Hannah Montana may be popular but its just a fad in pop culture. Miley Cyrus herself only has one album released under her own identity and as of right now her personal life is more popular than her music which isn’t a good start for being so young in her career… She’s only famous famous for her character Hannah Montana but that’s about it.

I 100% agree. Sure, I can’t stand Speidi or Paris Hilton, either…but Miley takes the cake for me. It’s much, MUCH easier to ignore Speidi and Hilton than it is to avoid Miley. She is absolutely everywhere (and with no right to be, either). She deffo deserves the title, for sure.
