As for the news of the Tribute show, I think it would be great if they did one on each coast… Madison Square Garden sold out for his anniversary special a few years back and after everything that’s happened, they are going to have millions more people from all over wanting to be there to see the show.

I think the worst part about all of this is seeing those pictures from the night before. Because even though he does look a little paler and thinner than usual, he actually looks better than we’ve seen him in YEARS! And the pics of him in the suit doing his thang on stage are CLASSIC Michael Jackson. I have a feeling that a whole slew of Michael Jackson stuff will be coming out in the next few months. I don’t doubt in the least that this rehearsal will be one of them… I also don’t doubt that we’ll be seeing some of his other concert specials on DVD as well… what a circus indeed!!

I agree Trent, when i was readin it i was thinking they were going to say u can get the actual ticket for a certain amount. Maybe a percentage of what you paid for it or something. I know i would love to keep the actual ticket but could never pay $1000 for just the ticket and not even the cd/dvd combo included (which you know they are going to do).

I don’t know why, I just get a really bad feeling from these concert promoters. I saw one the other day on E! saying that Michael was in “better” form than he has “ever been before”, and he was full of pep and energy. That just seems very manipulative. Michael had been through broken bones, surgeries, etc., and while he might have been working really hard, no one other than the concert promoter is saying he was in great health. Friends, family, and a fan that watched rehearsals on Monday said he was very frail and lethargic. Now the idea that they have over 100 HOURS of rehearsal footage, well it just kind of gives me the feeling that they thought he could die and were ready to bank on it no matter what.

Since the tickets are in limited quantity, won’t they be collectors items and therefore worth a lot more money than the original price?

Coming from someone who works at a concert venue and has experienced musicians dying before their scheduled shows, the whole no refund if you keep your ticket thing is standard policy. Refunds require multiple bits of information off the actual tickets and holding onto the actual tickets after refunds are issued prevents the venue from people coming back down the road and claiming they never got their money back.

They’ll def release the recording on DVD. With the amount of debt he is reportedly in, and the costs they can’t recoup for the shows, his estate and O2 will want the money from it.

I had to read the article twice because i didn’t believe that in order to get your paper ticket for a show that cannot happen you have to forfeit your refund.
