Makin’ The (up)Grade
So … I went ahead and did the iPhone upgrade from my 3G to the 3G S. Altho I wasn’t all that impressed with the changes that were made in the new version of the phone to the previous version of the phone I admit I was impressed with the processing speed and the ability to record video (and autofocus). It turns out that I am able to sell my iPhone 3G for a considerable sum at NextWorth.com so the cost to upgrade is minimal:
Because the line at the Apple Store at The Grove was gargantuan on Friday night, I decided to wait until Saturday afternoon to do the upgrade. I went to the Beverly Center Apple Store and got in a fairly short line … then the power blew inside the Apple Store. Without power, they cannot activate phones … so I went off for a Starbucks coffee drink and came back a bit later. The power was restored, the whole process had me in and out in about 15 mins. No sweat. Thus far, I’m enjoying the upgrades … but I still with the battery life was longer. Ah well, mebbe the next new iPhone will get that part right. I have to give a shout out to Pink reader Brett, from Louisiana, who I met at the Beverly Center yesterday. It was my extreme pleasure meeting you … enjoy the Summer here in SoCal :)

Did you pay the extra $200 dollars trent? Or is your phone bill over $99 dollars a month and brought your iphone 3g in the first 3 months of release?
I’m one of those unlike people who brought my iphone 3g the day it came out and do not spend over $99 a month phone bill so I can’t upgrade until december without paying the extra $200.
