Lifetime TV, in preparation for the premiere of the new season of Project Runway (the first for their network), has launched the new official web site for PR. In addition, the site lists the urls for the official Project Runway Twitter account and Facebook page. Here is a new promo image for the show:

The site also features a new promo video for the show which attempts to hype up fans for the show … but IMHO, falls well off the mark. The video features “regular people” talking about how much they love the show and only features brief appearances by hosts Heidi Klum and Time Gunn. There are NO appearances by any of the contestants or any footage from the upcoming season. It’s not a great promo video, in my estimation, but something is better than nothing I suppose. After the jump, check out the promo video in full and judge for yourselves …
It’s so … meh … don’t you think? While I am VERY excited that the show will return in just a few weeks, I’m really hoping that Lifetime does more to get folks amped up for the show’s return. If this is the best they can come up with, I fear the show will be in real trubs. What do y’all think … are y’all impressed?

I can’t see the video..oh well. On a side note, the new season of PR Australia begins next week…it looks really good. Can’t wait!
Super lame..Just about what I’d expect from Lifetime..Ahh well..I’m still super excited about the show coming back! I hope they MAKE IT WORK!!
Meh. I just don’t know if I am willing to watch ANYTHING on Lifetime….even my beloved Tim Gunn. I despise that network and its insulting “television for women.” Psht.
Gunna go ahead and say this will be the last season of Project Runway. No way it will survive on Lifetime. What a waste of a good show (though the last 2 seasons have been obnoxious).
This promo is obviously for regular Lifetime viewers who have never really watched P.R. before. I am sure the producers were getting a little antsy to just get some promo out there. Soon there will be a better trailer with contestants and all. I must agree it does show some anxiety to throw out a promo which has no tie to the original shows music, pacing, or feel. Lifetime may be pissed after paying so much for the show, and losing the sparkle of Project Runway in the process.
The change in PR isn’t only that it’s now on Lifetime; PR is also being done my a different production company. The original production company was Magical Elves. They did the first five seasons. With the switch to Lifetime, the production company changed as well.
Lifetime just put a stake in PR’s heart.
It used to be the “Vogue” of the reality shows… Sigh…
