My girl Kristin Cavallari did a bit of shopping here in SoCal yesterday afternoon hittin’ up a few high end boutiques to spend some of that hard-earned money she’s being paid from MTV to appear in the upcoming season of The Hills:

Seeing KC shopping up a storm reminds me of the hey day of the Hollywood “It” Girl when it would be commonplace to see the ladies pay almost daily visits to the shops on Robertson Blvd. in West Hollywood, CA. Remember when The Skeletwins^TM reigned supreme? While I doubt that Kristin will single-handedly reprise the importance of the Hollywood “It” Girl, I am glad to see her paying homage to the role. Gone are days of the oversized sunglasses, the tiny dogs in purses and the Starbucks coffee drinks firmly placed in well-manicured hand … but it’s nice to remember the good ol’ days sometimes.
