Kristen Stewart Begins Filming ‘The Runaways’
In previous weeks we’ve seen photos of Kristen Stewart rockin’ the 70’s punk mullet and we’ve seen her chillin’ with Joan Jett in preparation for her appearance in the upcoming new film The Runaways (based on the all-girl band of the 70’s/80’s) and today we get to see K. Stew in action as Jett on the SoCal set of the film. Here are the first pics of Kristen doing her best Joan Jett on the set of the movie that has just began filming:
HMMMMMM … I mean … yeah. Kristen deffo has the Joan Jett look down but … I don’t know that I’m feeling the hair in these pics. It looks different from the pics we’ve seen previously … her hair looks more like a wig in these pics, no? To be honest, I don’t really see Kristen as Joan Jett as much as I see her as Pinky Leather Tuscadero from Happy Days. Granted, you really cannot judge a film from just the pics we seen from the set … and The Runaways just went into production … so I’m gonna hold off on judgment. Minus the hair, I like the look tho … I kinda want to see more.

That hair style looks horribly awkward on her. Did they add a hair piece to her haircut? It doesn’t even look like real hair.

I definitely don’t like the hair. In my opinion, they over styled it when they should’ve just messed it up to give it that “un-brushed grunge look” instead of putting hair product in it.

i loved the twilight saga books, but she just seemed very awkward in that film.

She looks like shit! that hair color and style does not work with her… the bags under her eyes are just screaming at you now… bitch needs to lay off the drugs (she’s doing more than smoking a little pot) and get some sleep..
I just hope Dakota doesn’t come out of this movie looking like used up piece of shit after hanging out with kristen.

She doesn’t have the edge that Joan Jett HAS…she looks like she’s trying to hard. I’m so afraid that this movie is gonna suck…I’m on pins-&-needles. She looks too blah

I believe that is a wig and then the haircut Kristen got will come into play soon. They used a wig here because it’s at the beginning and before Joan cut her hair after forming the band :)

But yeah, the wig’s a mess. They should have just cut her real hair and dyed it black.

In all the years that I have adored Joan Jett… I never thought of her as “strung out” and that’s how Kristen Stewart looks. In fact- Joan Jett is a pretty savvy business woman when it comes to music. And so these pics of Kristen just upset me and I don’t know that I’m even going to give the movie a chance. The Dakota Fanning thing is really irking me too… I just don’t know about this…

I’m not a big fan of the hair, but it’s necessary for the role, so I’ll cut her some slack LOL. What really troubles me is her rebarbative smoking habit. Kristen, give up the nicotine, you’ll live longer! No matter how attractive somebody is, smoking diminishes their allure a bit in my eyes.

It just bugs me that Joan Jett has very dark brown eyes…. and then they get an actress with very light colored eyes… That annoys me more than her crappy ‘wig hair’… It’s just “off” when there’s a movie made about someone and the person playing them doesn’t look hardly anything like them. At least they match in the chest-size department..

kristen looks so dull. i like her very much but only the fact that i found out that she’s smoking i started to not like her anymore. she almost looks like a call girl when she’s smoking fags. just give it up. whats the point anyway? its not like her life is really horrible. and the wig is funny too.

No offense, but wouldn’t that be considered a 70’s shag, not a mullet? It looks to relaxed to be a mullet.
