Justin Gaston Shows Off An Old Tattoo
Justin Gaston, newly single from Miley Cyrus, has been posting tweet messages on his official Twitter profile about a new tattoo that he just got added to his body … but he is choosing not to show off the new ink and instead is showing off some old ink. Justin posted a photo of a flower tattoo that he had previously inked on his inner bicep:
He tweets: Just got my new tattoo but I’m keeping it a secret.. Got this old one retouched so I’ll share the old one for now
It appears that the old tattoo was “retouched” by filling in the center of the flower with black ink. But, if you look closely, you can see that there were initials inside the flower that Justin chose to cover up with the new ink (I’ve colored in the initials in the second close-up photo to highlight them):
Yes, folks … Justin Gaston used to have the initials MC tattooed on his arm. I guess in the wake of his break-up with Miley, Justin thought it best to “retouch” his tattoo. Apparently his new, private, tattoo is on his wrist … I can’t wait to see what he got done.

*sigh* See I love tattoos, and I have a few of my own. But its pointless tattoos like this that make me mad, what is that suppose to mean? Not only that but they could have done a better quality flower, not one that looks like it was drawn by a 5 year old.
Also; most tattoo artist usually suggest NOT getting the initials of a lover, or their name. Because well, there is no telling how long it will last. Bleh. Lame.

While I agree with not getting a partner’s name or initials… I don’t think there’s any such thing as a pointless tattoo. It doesn’t have to have a deep meaning, but also, you don’t have any idea what this silly little flower might mean to him. I just think that is an unfair judgment for you to make because I am willing to bet that there is some sort of relevance to his life (heck, maybe Miley sketched it for him or something).

If Miley sketched it for him, why didn’t he just leave her initials if he wanted some importance that was her-tattooed onto his body.
There are such things as pointless tattoos, because some people just get tattoos of what is ‘in’ at the moment(playboy bunny, and other ones)
But your correct, it may be something important in his life, but I personally just think it would have either looked better as a different flower or somewhere else(ankle or wrist) But eh whatever, its his body :) and he has the money to get it removed later on, so it doesn’t matter.

This just reinforces my theory that people should never get their significant others name or initials tattooed on their body. Because when you break up, you have to get it filled it, redone, etc.
When will people learn?! And for the record, did he think that their relationship was going to be a forever kind of thing?

The tattoo could be a combination of meanings. Just because you guys might think its childish, it could have a huge meaning to him. How would you feel if you found out the flower was small memorial tattoo in memory of a grandma who liked flowers, and he just put miley’s initials in it just for her. So calm down on the childish pussy names.

Maybe he put the initials there because he thought they wouldnt last and that is an easy cover up. Tattoos are every persons individual choice. I don’t think we should be so judgemental on it when really we have no idea.

I don’t like how people are criticizing his tattoo so much, it could have significant meaning to him and even if it doesn’t it’s his body, he can do what he wants with it. Personally there’s something about the simplicity of it that I really like.

I used to live with a few tattoo artists and they always called it the “kiss of death” when people got their significant other’s name tattooed. It guaranteed repeat business because in a few months they’d be getting paid to cover that sucker up :)

@ej — the photo was taken with the Photo Booth application on a Mac computer which created a mirror image. if he were wearing shirt with lettering, the words would’ve been reversed as well. photos taken with a Mac in this way have to be reversed.
