Joan Jett Shows Kristen Stewart The Ropes
Kristen Stewart is getting a bit more help these days in preparation for her role as Joan Jett in the upcoming biopic on the ’70’s all-girl punk band The Runaways … from Joan Jett herself. Kristen and Joan were spotted carpooling together to Sunset Sound studio here in LA yesterday to do some vocal training together for the film:
My guess is that the actresses who will be portraying The Runaways may be doing some of their own singing. To be honest, I think it would be better if they used the actual vocal tracks recorded by the band back in the 70’s but … mebbe they’re going for realism? Not only will K. Stew look like Joan Jett but, apparently, she’ll sound like her too. I have to say … it’s pretty damn cool that Kirsten gets to work so closely with a musical legend like Joan Jett. I truly hope that Kristen is able to adequately portray Joan in the film. We shall see.

I just watched Into the Wild again last night- totally forgot K Stew was in it. The girl is gorgeous but she seriously is the same character in everything she is in.

that girl is seriously the luckiest young actress around right now. Not only did she get Twilight, which I don’t think anyone could have imagined would become this huge but in between shooting for those movies she gets to become an ICON?! WHAT?!! And people make fun of her for being all akward and whatnot… If it was me I’d be the same way! She looks a little flustered in those pics with Joan and rightly so

I am a HUGE Twilight fan, but can not stand KStew. She was the worst person to portray bella! She has no expression or range. She just looked like a depressed dope throughout the whole thing. but at least she will play depressed well in New Moon haha. Will be interesting to see how she is in this one.

Never mind forgetting she was in ‘Into The Wild’, she was in Panic Room. I remember thinking ‘this girl is good’…. and can’t believe this is that girl. Trippy.

Thats pretty cool that she gets to work with her on this. I’ve never heard her sing…to the best of my knowledge theres a tiny portion of into the wild and it was semi-painful to heard, but it was also very brief and not much to go off of. if she really sounds that bad then they’ll just go with the tapes I guess. Its worth a shot to have her try I guess.
