In Case Of Emergency: DO NOT USE TWITTER
Um … yeah … and this should go without saying but … if you ever find yourself in an emergency situation, like say you find yourself trapped inside of a burning building, one thing you prolly shouldn’t do as you are trying to flee the blazing inferno in order to save your life is stop so that you can post a tweet update to your Twitter profile:

LMAO! Now, I’m not sure if this sign is really for real or not but it is damn funny … and is prolly needed to remind some folks that there are more important things to consider during emergency situations than updating one’s Twitter accounts.

I don’t know… if you have a lot of “followers” it might be useful! Oh yes, BB.

When we were having all those earthquakes in LA, I tweeted before checking up on my family. I need help.

Haha, silly Brits and their silly signs. Although, at first I totally didn’t notice anything weird about that. Maybe three months in London does that to you XD
I would so not doubt that the sign is real.

*** MUST READ***
Just the other night, there was a fire in an NYC apartment building, and when one of the tenants was interviewed for a major newschannel, she told the reporter that she was trying to post a tweet to her twitter account as she was fleeing the burning building. I am not sure if this post Trent made has to do with that situation, i dont think it does, however, its kind of interesting how dumb people are cuz they actually DO things like this! Amazing. Well if you find the time, you might be able to youtube it or something if you want to see her interview, lol.

That said, I read last year (before I even knew what twitter was) about how a reporter was kidnapped in the Middle East. He managed to get a tweet out just as it happened, and ultimately was rescued because he did so. I was trying to find the story, and came across this one– not sure if it is the same incident. http://www.orato.com/tech-games/twitter-saves-journalist-from-prison

Normally, this is good advice. But in Atlanta our 911 system is so jammed (sometimes you are put on hold for minutes!), that my city councilman used Twitter recently to help get an ambulance:

See, what you do is take a picture first, then call 911, and finally upload the photo and report it on Twitter.
