Dakota Fanning & Kristen Stewart Hang With Real ‘Runaways’
Here are a few new pictures of Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart chillin’ with rockers Cherie Currie and Joan Jett, the women that the young actresses will be portraying in the big screen biopic based on the all-girl 70’s band The Runaways. As you may recall, we previously saw photos of Kristen, rockin’ the hawt mullet, coming out of a recording studio with Joan Jett who is presumably mentoring the young actress on how to sing like her. I believe this is the first time we’ve seen Dakota with Cherie doing the same:

I know that there are a lot of rock purists who are not happy with the casting of this movie based on the legendary band The Runways but I totally get it. The movie will need some semblance of starpower to be successful (especially in this economy) and casting talented no name actresses may help with the film’s indie cred, it won’t necessarily guarantee an audience. You put Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in any movie and you can be assured that the film will have an audience. I think it speaks very highly of these young actresses that Joan Jett and Cherie Currie are working so closely to ensure that they get their portrayals right. Knowing that the actual Runaways have a say in the film’s production has got me sold. I am deffo looking forward to seeing this biopic … while I am horribly curious, I’m also hoping the young ladies will do the rockers life story justice.

Why does Kristen always look so awkward in still pictues.. She never looks normal, always hunched over, and looking unbalanced, like her legs don’t move right or something.
Strange girl… (she better thank her lucky stars every day that the Twlight role came along, with pre packaged fans.. I don’t think she would win over such an audience on her own merits)

Kristin just plain sucks. She was horrible in twilight and im sure will be even worse at being Joan Jett.

I find it highly annoying when less than stellar acting is rewarded by shoving said actors into every darn movie that comes out. Case in point, that guy from Juno and how he’s in EVERYTHING now. He must suck because I don’t even know his name.

Michael Cera … is awesome!
Who is playing Lita Ford?

People need to realize that, it isn’t entirely the actor/actress’ fault for poor performance. Twilight wasn’t scripted very well-if you put one of the most talents actress’ as Bella, it wouldn’t have been any better.
Also I don’t think, In that movie Kristen gave all that she had. It was-in a way, different then what she is use to doing. She was probably acting off Bella’s character, and no offense to Twilight fans. But, Bella doesn’t have much character to work with. ^^;
I think, well hope anyways- that this movie will be very good. In an interview I read, Kristen seemed very excited to do this movie, and to get the chance to play Joan Jett’s character(not to mention working with Joan Jett herself), So I’m sure she will give it all she has.

I’ve seen Kristen in other movies and was not impressed by her skills in those either. So you can’t really blame the Twilight movie for making her seem like a horrible actress. Girl has had several changes to impress me and so far hasn’t.
Sorry but Michael Cera is not awesome either, in my opinion.

I’m not sure Michael Cera can act. He plays the same character in every movie.

Michael Cera……. & I think he seems sucky because that’s his whole ‘thing’
Dakota has some major shoes on

Girl better stop scratching her head so much. Soon she won’t have any scalp left!

Trent, glad you seem to be softening your stance on Kristen just a little. Give the girl a chance people!

Man, did Joan Jett do something to her face???? I never would have believed it, but she has trout snout! Dammit!

Kristen didn’t need Twilight. She was great in Into the Wild and Adventureland. I have never read or seen the Twilight, but she was spectacular in the films I have seen her in. I think people give her a hard time because she doesn’t fit with the version in their head about that character…when I am sure most girls were picturing themselves as Bella. Adolescent jealousy can be pretty toxic, but I am sure ya’ll will grow out of it.

Kristen looks like shes scared of Joan Jett….and I dont blame her. This is going to be a very interesting movie. Im all over it.

Umm..Michael Cera is awesome!! Anyone smart enough to watch Arrested Development saw how perfect his comedic timing is..Yes..He always seems to play the same-ish awkward guy, but he’s perfect at it! Besides, he’s still super young and has a huge career ahead of him..I LOVE him and can’t effing wait for the Arrested Development movie!!

Good god – would people stop mentioning Twilight!! … Kristen had a career BEFORE Twilight – she will have a career AFTER Twilight! … I would have preferred some undiscovered cool young acting musicians in this movie, but I understand why they chose the actors they did … They need the film to be a box office hit – instead of an indie thing.

I agree Kristi! Dakota’s shoes are awesome!
