This is a great example of something that gets overlooked all the time by people who constantly try to take one side or the other and expect everyone else to the same. You’d be bitching if he wasn’t paying respect, as well! Personally, I’m one of the people who thought he was an amazing soul- far from perfect, like everyone, but I didn’t spend time judging the oddities of his life out of respect for him and the fact that he seemed like such a kind, gentle person. Yeah, I’m one of the people who doesn’t believe for a second that he molested a single child. I’ll also be the first to admit that I couldn’t stand looking at pictures of him over the past decade, so I’d skip over them because he creeped me out. That’s totally shallow of me- that I want to remember him as he was in ’83, when, at the age of 8, I thought I was going to marry him some day.

Hey Trent, Stacey here writing to you from New Zealand. I cant think of anything else in the world i would want to do more than say good bye to Michael, he helped me through times that were so dark that they are hard to remember and lifted me up when I needed a friend. If you could go and see him on behalf of me and probably thousands of other readers that just cannot physically make it ourselves it would be amazing. I dont know what other words to describe him, I just know if I could make it to the ranch I would go, but would love to see you go in my place. You would never regret it, he was so amazing and will bring together incredable people i think.

@J — I never said my posts weren’t negative, anyone who denies that MJ’s life was odd (to say the least) is in total denial. While I expressed my doubts I did stress that I hoped he would be able to undo some of the damage to his career that had accumulated in the past 10+ years. Was I confident that he would be able to pull it off, no I wasn’t and I said as much. But now that he has died, it seems totally logical to look at his life as a whole now that it is finished. He made great contributions to music, pop culture and society. He also lived a life of tragedy and was responsible for questionable behavior. The man was not perfect, far from it. You are free to feel what you feel about my commentary but, as I said, I will continue to do what I do … and happily.

Hey K – I hate to break it to you, but I wasnt bitching. I was expressing my thoughts. I thought this was what the comments section was for. With that being said I will bitch if I want. You are not my keeper. And Trent definitely won’t be coming to my memorial because I’m not dead. LOL Tend to your own business. Go find someone else to hate on.

@ Trent – Nice edit there. The “haha” part really added a little something extra. And yes, all your posts about him before death were pretty much negative. So, hahahaha!

Totally agree with OMG. Trent, you’ve done nothing but bash and criticize Michael’s looks and lifestyle. Even so far as to question how he raises his children and make fun of him for wanting his belongings back. His memorial should be for people that loved him and believed in him in life. You had absolutely no faith in him and said that you doubted he’d make it through his tour. I can’t speak for Michael, but I wouldn’t want someone at my memorial that had no faith in me and was purely going because you appreciated his “contributions to pop culture.” CREEPY. He needed people’s support in life, not their “respect” in death.

OMG @ omg…..come on, most people in the world thought Michael Jackson was loony, but that doesn’t take away the fact that he was a genius when it came to his craft. And to this end, no one wants to see his life end this way. No matter what he was or wasn’t, I feel for his children and his family.

Trent frequently reports odd acts of stars he adores because their odd behaviors is entertainment news and this is….an entertainment news blog. He will always end by saying his personal feelings are that he likes the person. I have observed his doing this on numerous occasions.

Back on track— that white funeral carriage seems a little over the top to me. I live in Memphis and from what I understand Graceland makes LOADS of money for the EP estate. If MJ is in debt/wants to leave a solid estate for his kids, opening Neverland to the public and creating a museum would make sense. Hopefully Neverland Ranch is in a better location than Graceland. Graceland is basically in an area where people who live in Memphis know NOT to go. Rough as heck! Poor tourists.

Traffic will be HORRIFIC as it’s a country road that leads in and out of the area, so if you do plan to attend, head out way earlier than you think is needed. Could always stay in Solvang over night, it’s a tourist trap but it’s worth it to see it once and you won’t have to deal with the traffic that is sure to reside on the 101 the morning of.

I wonder why they feel the need to cart his body all over the place for memorial services. Generally this doesn’t happen. Bury him and leave him in peace, then hold memorial services.
I thought maybe it was a little odd that Neverland was chosen seeing as how he hated the place afted it was raided and said it didn’t feel like home anymore. The rides have all gone and so has the zoo, so it’s not really Neverland anymore. Also, MJ doesn’t solely own it anymore either, so the conglomerate who has shares would have to be in agreement.
I also think the Mayor of Gary only wants MJ to be buried there for tourism reasons. I mean, how long has it been since they lived there?

THE LIVING WILL, michael jackson made will override any decision by any person. If MJ wrote in his will where he wants to be buried, this is what legally will take place. IF they dont go by the will, there are consequences of law suit.
