A ‘Proposal’ You Cannot Refuse

The TV Guide
June 14th, 2009

Last night David and I made our way into the Valley for a dinner/movie date together. We ended up grabbing some grub at the Sherman Oaks Galleria before seeing a sneak preview showing of The Proposal at the ArcLight:

I am very happy to report that The Proposal is a really funny movie. The writing is pretty funny but the on-screen chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds is what really makes the movie work. It’s a little chick-flicky but really very funny. I loved every single scene that Betty White was in … the movie has it all. If you see this movie for no other reason … go see it for Ryan Reynold’s bare ass scene. Yes, Sandra looks amazing all nekkid as well but — I gotta say — Ryan is the draw for me :) The movie opens in theaters next weekend … grab some friends and see it. I’m pretty sure you’ll love it!!

After the movie, David and I grabbed some dessert and coffee at my fave SoCal cafe Aroma Cafe in Studio City before we made our way back home:

It was a nice, quiet date :)

Today, we’re hoping to meet up with Jordan for late brunch and then are meeting up with Tamar and Rob for another movie. The sun looks like it wants to come out … but notsomuch just yet. Hope your Sunday is a great one!!

I totally want to see this! It looks extremely funny and cute. Oh, and Trent, I saw The Hangover and I was extremely disappointed! Usually, I’m with you on your review of movies but with that movie… ugh. I have good taste in movies but for some reason I didn’t find anything funny about that movie. It didn’t try to be funny but it didn’t come off as funny, either. I just thought the jokes grew tiresome after awhile and non of the characters were likable due to their lack of character development. After awhile the movie relied too much on the fat bearded guy to carry the film which made the movie fail in my opinion.

You can also see Ryan’s yummy buns at the beginning of Van Wilder. Best part of the movie, imo.

I was at the same movie last night. I saw you after standing by the ticket taker and wanted to say hi! In another coincidence I then headed to Tjunga but not to Aroma (gelato).
