Last night Sarah, David and I made our way out to Ann Arbor, MI to enjoy a playdate with my beautiful goddaughter Zakiya and her mom Tracey. It had been ages since I got to see my darlings again so we wanted to get out there so that we could see their new apartment, have dinner and then spend some time at a park. Here are a few pics from last night’s fun:

It’s really disconcerting how quickly this little girl is growing up. She’s a full on talker now, there ain’t no stopping her. She spent part of the night teaching us to say ZeZe is the bomb! While we were at the park, she found a caterpillar and a baby frog and was happy to show us her findings … she’s really too adorable. Once we got back to Tracey and Z’s apartment, she showed us some of the dance moves she’s been learning in her ballet class. The girl will be starring on Broadway any day now. We had so much fun. We are seeing them again on Thursday night when Sarah has a few people over to her place for a little get together.

Tonight, Sarah, Mark, David and I are heading downtown to Comerica Park to watch the Detroit Tigers take on the Boston Red Sox. On our way, we’re hoping to swing by the HockeyTown Cafe to cheer on the Detroit Red Wings as they face the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals. It should be a very sporty night for us … hopefull I’ll have good news to share tomorrow :)
