Robert Pattinson Films New Movie ‘Remember Me’ In NYC

We know that Twilight star Kristen Stewart is already hard at work in pre-production of her next non-Twilight film (The Twilight Saga: New Moon wrapped production in late May/early June) and has already changed her appearance for her new film The Runaways … but what of the other Twilight star Robert Pattinson? Well, it turns out that he, too, has begun work on his next film. Here are photos of R. Pattz in NYC over the weekend on the set of his new non-Twilight film Remember Me:

Pattinson will play the lead role in “Remember Me,” a story of a young couple whose burgeoning relationship is complicated by a succession of family tragedies that test their bond, according to ScreenDaily.com. The makers of the film, which had previously been titled “Memoirs,” have not yet settled on which actress who will play Pattinson’s love interest. Emmy-winning director Allen Coulter (“The Sopranos,” “Damages”) will direct, and Jenny Lumet, who penned the script for last year’s critical darling “Rachel Getting Married,” is working on a draft of the screenplay … Summit is staying tight-lipped about plot specifics, but co-chairman and CEO Patrick Wachsberger likened “Remember Me” to “Love Story,” the classic 1970 romance starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal. Landing the “Remember Me” lead marks the first major role for Pattinson since he rocketed to public adulation for his portrayal of vampire Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” franchise. He had been signed to appear alongside Rosario Dawson in “Parts per Billion,” but was forced to drop out due to his “New Moon” commitment.

Never fear rabid Twilighters, Remember me is scheduled to wrap production in time for Rob to begin working on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in August. I really hope that Pattinson is getting paid a lot of money for this new film … from the small amount of info we have about its premise, it doesn’t sound all that interesting. I guess the Powers that Be are really trying to milk him for all the romanticness that they can. I’m much more interested in Kristen Stewart‘s new film which is a biopic on the 70′s all girl punk band The Runaways. At least these two are both working this Summer … which, I guess, is the more important thing. It just goes to show that man (and woman) cannot live on Twilight alone.

In her new ABC Family TV movie
Lindsay Lohan Is Pregnant . . .

Here is our first look at Lindsay Lohan‘s baby bump … which will be featured in her new ABC Family TV movie Labor Pains which will debut on July 19. As you may recall, Lindsay spent part of her Summer last year filming a new movie titled Labor Pains that was originally slated for a theatrical release … but has since been downgraded to a straight-to-DVD release which will first be aired on the cable network ABC Family in July. This scan of Lindsay and her bump is featured in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine:

Lindsay Lohan Acts for Two in a TV Movie — Labor Pains, an ABC Family comedy airing July 19, stars the onetime Mean Girl as a secretary who falls for the boss’ brother (Luke Kirby, right) while faking a pregnancy to keep from getting fired. Lohan had no qualms about swapping her usual designer duds for mommy gear, says director Lara Shapiro. “She’s so unselfconscious. We wanted to accentuate her stomach, and Lindsay was very game for that.” Their solution? “A no-muumuu policy.”

While it’s a shame that Lindsay‘s big movie got downgraded to a mere TV/DVD release, at least we’ll get to see Lindsay in action in a new project. I am absolutely not expecting to be blown away by this new flick but I am hoping that it erases all memory of her horrid movie I Know Who Killed Me (the last movie she made that I paid money to see). Will this be a hit a la Mean Girls (which is entirely possible) or a stinker (which is prolly more likely) … I guess we’ll find out come July 19.

Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt Finally Return To The US From Costa Rica

After gravely miscalculating an attempt to extend their fame and fortune by choosing to participate in the NBC competitive Reality TV program I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! only to fail at the endeavor at every single turn, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have finally returned to the US from their long sojourn. When last we saw or heard from either of them, Heidi was being rushed to the hospital and Spencer was crying lawsuit claiming that the producers of the show had “tortured” his wife into hospitalization. Since then … there had been no word from or of either of them. But all of that is over … on Saturday night, the couple were spotted making their arrival at LAX Airport only to turn right around and fly out to NYC (where they are now) on Sunday:

Lest you think that Heidi was suffering in a Costa Rican hospital since we last heard from them, think again. I understand her hospital stay was brief and that the couple quickly checked into the five star Four Seasons resort in Guanacaste, Costa Rica for the remainder of their stay in the country. I suspect the couple were not allowed to return to the US nor were they able to court the media until their contractual requirements with the show were upheld as much as possible. Their vacation in Costa Rica was a vacation for us as well … except for the news of Heidi‘s upcoming appearance in Playboy magazine, we lived a fairly Speidi-less existence for the past week or so. But … they’re back now … and, for the time being, they are NYC’s problem.
