Zac Efron was doin’ his thuggin’ best this week here in SoCal when he was spotted trying to exit his vehicle and still keep his pants on. For some reason, Zac really loves wearing his jeans hanging off his ass … which can be problematic when climbing out of a big SUV … behold:

Either he’s really proud of his Hanes undies or he’s just hopin’ to give his 13-year old fans a heart attack but one thing’s for sure, Zac is happy to let his ass hang out whenever humanly possible. I suppose we should … be thankful or something? Whatevs, I’m just lookin’ forward to the day when Zac miscalculates and those pants end up around his ankles. Hahahaha … now that’s the pic I want to see.

It is with a heavy heart and much sadness that I must report that my beloved Detroit Red Wings were unsuccessful in their bid to win the 2009 Stanley Cup. Altho Game 7 was played at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI, the Wings were unable to pull out the victory last night …

… that said, I am very proud of the Wings this year. They played an amazing season, provided countless hours of fun sports entertainment and did Detroit very proud, once again, this year. Congrats goes to the Pittsburgh Penguins on their win. If you are able to win Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit Rock City then you absolutely deserve the Stanley Cup. Props to my hockey buddy Dino for keeping me sane thru the finals this year. All of my love and respect goes out to the Wings, tho. I am very much looking forward to next season already.

And now that hockey season is over, I can focus my attention on the Los Angeles Lakers:

I’m not a big basketball fan but I have adopted the Lakers as my bball team since I’ve been living here in SoCal. Game 5 of the NBA Final takes place here in Orlando, FL tomorrow night … here’s hoping they can pull out the win and give me something sporty to celebrate ;)

David and I are seeing the sneak preview of The Proposal tonight. Altho the movie doesn’t open in theaters until next weekend, check the theaters in your town to find out which one is showing the movie tonight if you wanna see it early.

In a new interview with radio station 107.5 The River, Miley Cyrus admitted yesterday that she has “reconnected” with ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas in the wake of her break-up with 20-year old manfriend Justin Gaston (you may recall that Miley and Justin broke up earlier this week). It should go without saying that Miley has reconnected with Nick especially since we saw photos of the pair jetskiing together in Savannah, GA just a couple of days ago (she’s there filming a new movie called The Last Song, he flew in for a 2 day rendezvous to reconnect, apparently). Here is a portion of Miley‘s interview about her new relationship with Nick:

“He’s my best friend, and we still hang out all the time,” she said Friday on 107.5 The River’s Woody and Jim morning show in Nashville. “We’ve definitely reconnected. We don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, but right now we’re just kind of kicking it and hanging out as much as we can.” Cyrus split with Jonas at the end of 2007. She told Seventeen last year that she “bawled for a month straight” and dyed her hair black after calling it quits. The two — who sing a duet on the Jonas Brothers’ new song, “Before The Storm — have since patched things up. “We both just kind of saw each other and kind of decided this whole thing is kind of stupid,” Cyrus said. “We were all over the separation.” “I’m really happy to be back in their lives,” she went on. “And our families are super happy we’re hanging out again.” Jonas even took a trip to Georgia to visit Cyrus, who is now shooting the drama The Last Song. On Wednesday, they went jet-skiing near Tybee Island. “No comment,” she said when asked about the outing, though she did admit, “I am a jet ski demon!”

Oh yeah … and about that nose piercing that Miley has been showing off lately, well she’s got a thing or two to say about that as well:

“I’ll let people think what they will,” she said. “I hope no one is upset at me for doing it. I think it’s lame for it to be such a big deal because … it’s just temporary. You can take it out.” What prompted the piercing? “I am a huge Kelly Clarkson fan,” she said. “And I loved when she had her nose pierced.”

Oh Miley … you’re just being Miley. I have to say that I think it’s very sweet that she has reconnected with her more age appropriate ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas. They just seem more suited for one another … mebbe they’ll make it work this time. As for poor Justin Gaston? Well … he’s been left home alone here in SoCal where he has been bizzying himself with posting You Tube videos here he proudly opines for “a very special someone”:

On Wednesday we learned that embattled Miss California USA Carrie Prejean had been stripped of her crown by Miss USA owner Donald Trump due to her inability to fulfill the duties required of a reigning Miss California USA. As a result, the 1st runner-up was elevated to the position of the new reigning Miss California USA … and one of her first duties was to make a public appearance (with new sash and all) at the Gridlock Denim party at Kitson on Robertson Blvd. here in West Hollywood. Meet the new Miss California USA Tami Farrell:

It’s very fortunate that contingency plans are put in place in order to replace Miss California USAs as quickly as possible if ever the need arises … after all, can you imagine if the Gridlock Denim party had to go on without the presence of a reigning Miss California USA? I mean … Whew! We dodged a bullet there. No offense to Tami Farrell, who I’m sure will be an amazing Miss California USA … but now that Carrie Prejean has been stripped of her crown and has less reason to be talked about in the media (not that that fact is gonna stop her from trying, I’m sure) I sincerely doubt we’ll be hearing more about anything concerning Miss California USA from here on out.

Heidi Klum and hubby Seal were spotted making their way into an office building here in SoCal this week and, as you can clearly see from the photo below, her new baby bump is beginning to protrude very nicely … behold:

You may recall that we learned in mid-April that Heidi was pregs with her 4th child (a fact that hubby Seal confirmed from the stage of Radio City Music Hall the next day). Then in early May, Seal broke the news to Oprah Winfrey that the couple are expecting a baby girl and then a couple of days later, Heidi and Seal renewed their wedding vows in a ceremony in Malibu, CA that was “white-trash” themed. In all that time, Heidi‘s baby bump has had time to grow and protrude … which we can clearly see in this photo. In no time, Heidi and Seal will have the practically perfect (or at least proportionate) family made up of two daughters and two sons. Nice to see that the baby bump is coming along …

In the wake of yesterday’s release leak of explicit NSFW photos purportedly from a private sex tape that was filmed in 2006, Academy Award-winning screenwriter (for Milk) Dustin Lance Black has issued a statement to E! News‘s Marc Malkin regarding this new scandal. From the tone of Black‘s statement, it seems he is not going to let the leaking of the photos/video stand in the way of his work:

“It is unfortunate that individuals and other outside parties are trying to profit from material which is clearly private. I have had the privilege to speak to people across the country, both gay and straight, on a number of critical issues including safe sex. More important than the embarrassment of this incident is the misleading message these images send. I apologize and cannot emphasize enough the importance of responsible sexual practices.”

And with that, DLB is brushing off his shoulders and moving forward undaunted. I understand that he is being honored this weekend here in LA for mentoring gay youth and will be among the grand marshals of the NYC Pride Parade in the coming weeks. Malkin also reports that, “Black is not allowing this hiccup to stop him from continuing his work in support of gay rights, particularly on issues pertaining to young people.” To be honest, this is the best way to respond to a matter like this. While I will forever contend that it is absolutely idiotic for anyone to video record themselves having sex, I can absolutely understand how people honestly believe that something like this would never happen to them.
