Britney Spears has announced that she will be taking her concert tour The Circus starring Britney Spears down under later in the year, well after she completes the European leg of the tour (which is currently in the UK). For the first time ever, the legendary Britney Spears will bring a concert tour to OZ. Here is the full text of the press release along with the just-announced set of tour dates:

For the first time in her career Britney Spears will be touring Australia. Britney Spears in association with Dainty Consolidated Entertainment brings “The Circus Starring Britney Spears” Down Under in November. “The Circus Starring Britney Spears” is a first of it’s kind, incorporating a dazzling display of music, dance, magic and theatrics into the years biggest spectacle. I’m actually very surprised that this will be the first time that our dear Britney has toured Australia. I’m sure the Aussies are very excited that she is finally heading their way. It is turning out to be a very big touring year for Britney … I suspect that she will be doing a bit more touring between now and November. I’m sure that the plan is to get in as much touring as possible while she is on a hot streak (not to mention to refill her coffers … I have no doubt that all of this touring is making her a lot of money). Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson, who were each randomly in the UK at the same time, have ended their stay and have each made their way back to SoCal … and wouldn’t you know it — L. Ron ran into one another at London’s Heathrow Airport! The ladies were photographed in close proximity for the first time in months. Then, shortly after their arrival back home in LA, Lindsay was snapped making her way into Samantha‘s home … could it be that the ladies are finally back on?

The on-off relationship between Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson appears to be very much back on. After being pictured flying out from London’s Heathrow Airport together, Lindsay was seen heading straight for Samantha’s house in Los Angeles, where she let herself in. While Sam was out looking at new cars at a Porsche dealership, the actress made herself comfortable and it appears the pair are living together again. The rollercoaster relationship between the two took an upward turn as the pair flew back to Los Angeles together yesterday. The couple, who appear to have rekindled their on-off romance after some persistent chasing by LiLo, were pictured checking in at Heathrow airport. Then they headed off to the first class lounge – holding hands. Lindsay, 22, was flashing a ring on her engagement finger and appeared to confirm the reunion on her Twitter micro-blogging page. She also hinted that she had an announcement to make. She wrote:

‘Leaving London but with my favourite favourite!!!-travel buddy&great news to share!! Maybe…. ;)’

The actress had spent much of the past week chasing DJ Samantha, 31, around London in an attempt to rekindle their relationship and it seems that her persistence has paid off. She was pictured leaving Samantha’s hotel yesterday afternoon after apparently spending the night with her. Lindsay emerged from Blakes Hotel in South Kensington wearing dark sunglasses while a smiling Samantha exited shortly afterwards.

HMMM … yes, it seems as if L. Ron are back on. When I read that tweet from Lindsay, I was certain she was talking about traveling with Samantha. While I doubt that there will be any sort of substantive announcement from the couple, I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of them together as the Summer rolls on. I, for one, am happy at this news. Here’s hoping that there will be no more drama for L. Ron and nothing but blissful lurve. I mean … well, we’ll see.

After losing her bid to adopt the little Malawian girl named Chifundo Mercy James back in March, Madonna has reportedly gotten some good news on her appeal. According to a new report, three Malawian appellate judges have decided to rule in her favor and reverse the original denial for her to adopt the little girl. While we are hearing this news today, the official announcement that Madonna can move forward and adopt Mercy James should be announced on Sunday:

Madonna will be allowed to adopt Malawian toddler Mercy James, 4, after all. Three Malawian appeal court judges will reverse the original verdict, blocking the singer’s bid in March, her lawyer said. Alan Chinula passed on the news after persuading two of the three appeal judges to alter their decisions. Madonna’s adoption application was originally rejected because she had not lived in the east African state for 18 months, as required – a ruling which her lawyer argued was out of date. Madonna, 50, is now said to have the backing of two of the judges with the third set to agree. The official ruling will be announced next Sunday at Malawi’s Supreme Court of Appeal.

I suspected all along that Madonna would eventually win her appeal to adopt little Miss Mercy James. There has been much talk from supposed fathers of the little girl but none have been able to actually prove that they are of any relation to her. It was my contention that barring a DNA test that categorically proved paternity for the little girl, Madonna would eventually be allowed to adopt Mercy James. I mean … c’mon … did anyone really think that Madonna would not be allowed to get her way? At least we can be sure that Madonna will welcome this precious little girl into her life and will love her unconditionally. Congrats to the happy expanding family!

UPDATE: Madonna‘s rep is clarifying that she has not received word that the Malawian Appeals Court has ruled in her favor, saying:

“Madonna has not been informed that a ruling has been made. We remain hopeful.”

It looks like the congrats are a bit premature … but, I too am hopeful.

Adam Lambert, the runner-up in this year’s American Idol competition, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine. As was widely expected, Lambert opens up in the coverstory titled Wild Idol: The Psychedelic Transformation and Sexual Liberation of Adam Lambert and comes clean about his much speculated-about sexuality … telling Rolling Stone that he doesn’t think “it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that [he's] gay”. American Idol’s glamtastic runner-up Adam Lambert opens up in the next issue of Rolling Stone, speaking frankly about his sexuality, though he doesn’t think his revelation is particularly shocking. “I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” Lambert says in the new issue of Rolling Stone, hitting newsstands this week. The flamboyant Idol singer hits our cover and bares all, talking about his childhood (”I started to realize I wasn’t like every other boy,” he says), the drug-fueled Burning Man epiphany that led him to AI (”I realized that we all have our own power, and that whatever I wanted to do, I had to make happen,” he tells RS) and his run on the show (”I was like, ‘I’m going to glue rhinestones on my eyelids, bitch!’ “). It was that mission — and his Burning Man “psychedelic experience” — that lead him to Idol after years in musical theater. “I knew that it was my only shot to be taken seriously in the recording industry, because it’s fast and broad,” he tells RS. He details his experience on Idol, his true thoughts on winner Kris Allen and how his sexuality impacted his Idol run in our cover story, “Wild Idol: The Psychedelic Transformation and Sexual Liberation of Adam Lambert,” which hits newsstands this week.

I’m happy to hear that Adam is proud of his sexuality and choosing to openly discuss a personal matter like that on the cover of a major magazine is pretty much proof of that fact. I completely understand why he wouldn’t want to talk about any of his personal biz while he was competing on American Idol. While it works to the advantage of some competitors to talk to the voting audience about their wife/husband and kids, we still live in an age where discussing your homosexuality would still work against you. In any event, it’s very cool that Adam is finally feeling free enough to talk about his life as openly and honestly as possible.
