Will Empty As I Am make it on the soundtrack?
Kelly Clarkson Pens A Song For ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’

Kelly Clarkson has confessed in a new interview that not only is she a “huge” Twilight fan but she is actually a “nerd” Twilight fan … so much so that she has penned a song titled Empty As I Am with her backup singers for possible inclusion on the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: New Moon:

Describing the book New Moon as the “saddest book” of the Twilight Saga series, Kelly explains that she was inspired to write an equally sad yet poignant song for the story … and now that the film is set for release this November and will require songs for the film’s soundtrack she is hoping that her song will make it on the album. After the jump, check out Kelly Clarkson‘s supercute video interview where she talks in some detail about her New Moon-inspired song Empty As I Am

Not even her Poshness can be glam all the time
Victoria Beckham Is Spotty Spice

It turns out that the always immaculate Victoria Beckham can have her off days just like the rest of us … Mrs. Beckham was spotted (pardon the pun) skulking around SoCal this week lookin’ very unpretty. Trust me, we all have our days when we don’t feel much like gettin’ all glammed up and we don’t mind being a bit grody … and so, I guess that even glamazons like Vicki B. have those days as well … behold:

Victoria Beckham has – rather unusually – kept herself out of the spotlight for almost two weeks, and now it’s clear why. The former Spice Girl is suffering from a rather unfortunate bout of acne. Despite her best efforts to avoid being seen in public, she was photographed skulking around Beverly Hills on Wednesday. The former Spice Girl did her best to deflect attention from her spots in a pair of outrageously short denim cut-offs as she stepped out with son Cruz. The 34-year-old has been blighted by outbreaks since she was a teenager and has gone to rather extraordinary lengths to treat her skin in recent years. Victoria has been regularly indulging in £100 Geisha Facials, using a paste made from nightingale droppings. A friend told Closer magazine recently: “When Victoria was in Japan recently she was admiring the local women’s clear skin and discovered it was down to these facials. She was intrigued and when she got back to the US she found that some New York beauty salons now offer the treatment. She tried it and loved how great her skin looked. She also uses a cream derived from nightingale poo at home.” But it seems not even the most expensive – and down right bizarre – treatments are enough to starve off a dreaded breakout. Meanwhile, Victoria is counting down to the return of her husband David from his six-month stint with AC Milan. He will rejoin LA Galaxy on July 11, with his first match scheduled five days later.

You know … VB looks fine, we all have skin problems to deal with. But, because Vicki B. lives such an extravagant lifestyle of near perfection, I think it’s a good idea to see that celebs like VB are just like you and me. I don’t know that rubbing nightingale droppings on one’s face is the way to go when a little dab of Clean & Clear Invisible Acne Blemish Treatment will do the trick quite nicely. Let this go to show that celebs are not always perfect … they really have to deal with life’s little complications like like rest of us.

Double Trouble
Clandestine Teams Up With House Of Harlow For A New Fashion Show

Nicole Richie and Pete Wentz teamed up with Switch Boutique in SoCal last night to throw a fashion show in order to showcase each celebs’ new line of products. House of Harlow 1960 jewelry and Clandestine Industries streetwear were paired up in an effort to show the public what they can expect from the two design houses. Here are pics of Pete Wentz, Nicole Richie and her burgeoning baby bump at the fashion show last night:

What happens when two of Hollywood’s hippest designers team up for a runway show? Last night’s House of Harlow, Clandestine Industries and Switch boutique runway show! Nicole Richie, who was modeling her own designs, added her House of Harlow 1960 pieces to feminine fashions from Switch boutique, telling PEOPLE that she picked based on “complimenting the outfit,” while Pete Wentz went for an individualized approach to his models. “[It's] just about streetwear so I let the guy pick. Whatever looked best on the individual.” Budding girl group Paradiso Girls opened the show with a quick performance and special guest spot by rapper Eve. With Wentz’s wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Richie’s partner Joel Madden watching on, the male models donned high top sneakers, T-shirts saying things like I (heart) BX, hoodies, and fedoras from Clandestine Industries. The ladies walked the runway in black mini skirts, back stretch pants with holes cut into them, heels with neon green soles and hot pink peep toe, jumpsuits with white lace lining and gold belts as accents to Nicole’s bold jewelry. Wentz thanked the audiences with “Thank you for checking out our lines,” just before rockers The Academy Is… closed the evening with a short performance.

It only makes sense that two celebs with semi-equal celebrity lines of clothing/jewelry would team up to showcase their wares in this way. To be honest, I’m surprised neither of them thought about teaming up before now. As some of you already know, the Madden brothers own DCMA Clothing and, I suspect, plans are in the works to mebbe put together a way to showcase both House of Harlow 1960 and DCMA at a future fashion show. As a sidebar, I’m loving how big Nicole’s baby bump is already … it looks like it won’t be long now before Nicole and Joel Madden are welcoming the birth of their second child. We still do not know if it is a boy or a girl … but how adorable would a little boy addition to the family be?

‘The Hangover’ Premieres In NYC

Stars of the new comedy The Hangover, including Bradley Cooper and Justin Bartha, were joined by a few celebrity friends at a screening event for their new movie at the Tribeca Grand Screening Room in NYC last night … an event that was hosted by Details magazine and The Cinema Society. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals last night:

I can’t even express how excited I am to see this movie, which opens in theaters TODAY. I’m not usually a sucker for the obvious comedy movie (you know, the ones that try too hard like anything Will Ferrell puts out) but from the first time I saw this movie trailer in theaters, I knew I wanted to see this flick. Yes it looks like it’s chock full of dumb humor (like those obvious movies I tend to hate) but there seems to be a bit of charm to this one. I continue to laugh out loud every time I see the commercials for this film … it’s bound to be a good time. Because of our traveling today and our commitments tomorrow night, I hoping to see this movie on Sunday. If any of y’all see The Hangover before I do, please let me know what you think. I’m hoping the movie will be as funny as the trailers make it seem.

Marvel comics celebrates 70 years in the biz
Madonna Inspires A New X-Men Comic Book

Marvel Comics is celebrating their 70th anniversary this August and in celebration they are publishing special edition variant covers of various comic book titles inspired by music icons of the 80′s and 90′s. X-Men: Legacy #225 features Rogue striking a Vogue pose on the cover, very clearly inspired by the Queen of Pop Madonna:

Celebrating their 70 years on August 11, 2009, Marvel will be spicing up the aniversary by releasing alternate covers to many of its super-heroes magazines, inspired in Music Idols from the 80′s and 90′s. Four covers will be released on June 17 of the 90′s Decade Variant cover of X-Men: Legacy #225 designed by Brazilian artist Adriana Melo features Rogue – one of the mutants’ most controversial characters – striking a pose…

Does Madonna‘s pop culture reach know no bounds? I mean, it does make sense that if you’re looking for an icon from the 80′s or 90′s for inspiration, you really need look no further than to he Madgesty herself. I have to say … Rogue looks pretty cool as Maddy. She’s even got Maddy‘s monstrous hands, too!! This comic book cover looks pretty sweet … I wonder what other icons of the 80′s and 90′s they’ll be paying homage to as well.

The TV Guide
Farewell To HockeyTown

Alas … my time here in Detroit Rock City has come to an end. It seems like David’s and my week here flew by in an instant … but we did have a great time. The trip had its highs (namely Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals at the Joe Louis Arena last Saturday and our day with Nine Inch Nails at Pine Knob last Sunday) and some lows (namely Games 3 and 4 of the aforementioned Stanley Cup Finals) but this trip was pretty spectacular. Here are a few pics from our small gathering of friends who came over to Sarah and Mark’s place last night to hang out on our last day in town:

Last night was really fun … it was great seeing everyone who came out (Tracey, Zakiya, Reggie, Tara, Agnes, Angi, Ben, Jeff, Mike G and Roger) and I will miss you all — ’til I get my ass back to Detroit in August for Tori Amos ;) While I’m very bummed that the Detroit Red Wings lost last night, I’m confident the Red Army just wants to make sure they win the Stanley Cup here in Detroit!! Go Wings!!

And so … our trip is pretty much dunzo. We finish work this afternoon, grab some food and then hit the friendly skies. I hear it’s been rainy and cold in LA this week, so glad that Michigan graced us with some damn beautiful weather. I love you Detroit, see you again real soon!!

Megan Fox Does British ‘GQ’ Magazine

Megan Fox is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of British GQ magazine … here is the saucy starlet’s sexy coverphoto:

GQ UK has yet to post any portions of her coverstory interview online on their site but, to be honest, I’ve always found her photoshoots more interesting than her interviews. The cover declares that “Megan Fox will not be Censored” so I’m sure we’ll be hearing tidbits from her GQ interview soon enough. In the meantime, let’s check out photos from her new British GQ photospread …

Face forward
Michael Jackson Unmasks His Children

Michael Jackson spent some more time away from the rehearsal studio for his upcoming 50 date concert residency at the O2 Arena in London, England (which gets underway in just a little over a month from now) to take his children — unmasked — to a recording studio in SoCal this week. Jacko, with only Prince Michael Joseph and Paris Michael Katherine in tow (Prince Michael Joseph II was not allowed to come along presumably because he got to go to the medical center with Jacko by himself earlier this week), did force his kids to wear masks for part of the day …

… but eventually allowed his kiddies to show their faces, completely unmasked:

Since Michael Jackson’s children were first unveiled from their masked existence a year ago, they haven’t been seen since without their face covered. But yesterday Prince Michael I, 12, and Paris Michael, 11, were seen enjoying the fresh air with their faces revealed to the world as they joined their famous father at a Los Angeles recording studio. Not realising they could be seen from the street, Prince and Paris looked like regular pre-teens as they strolled through the car park. It was only when they left the studio two hours later, they were wearing masks again. Also joining the Jacksons at the building was High School Musical director Kenny Ortega, who is creative director of the star’s This Is It UK tour. Michael has been hard at work in recent weeks preparing for his 50-date residency at London’s O2 Arena, which kicks off on July 13. He recently upset fans when he postponed the first four dates by a week, meaning many are frantically trying to rearrange travel plans. The Thriller singer has kept his children’s lives shrouded in mystery since he first became a father in 1997. As well as fathering Prince and Paris with ex-wife Debbie Rowe, Michael also has a seven-year-old Prince Michael II, aka Blanket. While the physical similarities between the elder Prince and Paris is striking, Blanket is much darker than his older siblings in skin tone and hair colour. Blanket was the child famously dangled off a hotel balcony in Germany in November 2002. In an interview last year, former nurse Debbie insisted it was her choice to have the children’s faces covered. She said: “The veils were my idea, not Michael’s. I had kidnap threats when they were babies. I did not want them to be recognised.” Despite widespread belief the children are not biologically his, Michael insists he is the father of all three. During his infamous 2003 interview with Martin Bashir, he said: “I used a surrogate mother (for Blanket) and my own sperm cells. I had my own sperm cells in my other two children. They are all my children but I used a surrogate mother and she doesn’t know me, I don’t know her.” Debbie reiterated in 2008: “Of course it was artificial insemination. Paris was conceived in Paris, that’s how she got her name. I turned out two pretty good-looking kids. For that I am proud.”

Previously, we’ve gotten to see glimpses of the children’s faces sans masks but these new photos how the clearest view of what Michael Jackson‘s eldest children look like when they are not waring Mardi Gras feather masks. After the jump, check ‘em out …
