Tori is Not a mainstream pop artist, she doesn't get the same kind of attention or worship ( she definitely has her own huge fan base but it's not to Madonna esque proportions). The celebs that get BIG enough are not going to be understood by us regular folk, we will never KNOW what that life is like. If everyone around you told you everyday of your life for the next 20 years how great, perfect, right and smart you are, you might just begin to believe it. If the fashion world was bowing at your feet, you were praised for your cutting edge creations and every little girl and boy wanted to be you and look like you that mess could go to your head.
