There’s Always Room For New Friends
The TV Guide

Yesterday was another quiet day for me until I met up with my new friend Tamar for dinner at Rambutan Thai in Silverlake for dinner. She and I bonded in Las Vegas, NV a couple of weekends ago and we decided to grab a bite to eat and chat some more once I got back from my travels. I was hoping to surprise her with the best Thai food she’s ever had but was happy to know that she is well aware of the fabulosity of Rambutan already. We had a great time … we pretty much talked all night long until the restaurant closed and they had to chase us out. I’m really looking forward to more hanging out soon … Tamar is totally fab and I’m hoping this is the beginning of a long and happy friendship.

I have a few errands to run today and then prep begins for David’s and my trip to Detroit this weekend. I’ll be glued to the TV for tonight’s Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Western Conference Championship between the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks. Detroit has the chance to win the series tonight so I’m keepin’ all my fingers and toes crossed for them. If they do win, the Stanley Cup Championship could start in Detroit as early as this coming weekend … and happily, I’ll be in Detroit at the same time. Not trying to get too ahead of myself but I’m really hoping to get to see at least one more Red Wings hockey game before the season is over ;)
