‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ Wraps In Vancouver?
The Twilight Saga: New Moon stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were joined by castmates Rachelle Lefevre (who plays the bad vamp Victoria), Cameron Bright (who plays even badder Volturi vamp Alec) and others for what is being described as a wrap party at Bluewater Cafe in Vancouver, BC Canada. Now, I’m not really sure if this was indeed a wrap party or not but many members of the Twilight gang were in the hiz to do a little celebratin’:

It seems way too early for the New Moon production to pack up and roll out of Vancouver but what do I know? Still, I don’t really believe that this party was a production wrap party because Taylor Lautner was nowhere to be seen (perhaps he was off skipping around town?). Whatever was going on there, the Bluewater Cafe sounds like it’s THE place to be in Vancouver to meet the stars of New Moon. I wonder if the food is as appetizing as the atmosphere.

It’s a wrap for everything being filmed in Vancouver. They’ve moved onto filming the exterior Volterra scenes in Italy. So most of the cast is done, but the Volturi, Bella, Edward & Alice still have some filming to do for the Volterra stuff.

It’s a wrap! They’re done filming in Vancouver now. :(

As basic and sparse the first movie was (sorry I though it was pure s—t), it’s not surprising that they would turn the sequel out as quicky as they could shoot it…
I just don’t get the popularity of the whole thing.. the vampire story itself is so ridiculous when compared to others.. and the love story was about as shallow as the rest of the movie..
And it’s truly amazing how many half – asses actors and actresses made names for themselves with small bit parts in these abortions of film making.

I will agree that the first film was NOT one of the best ever made… However, as a fan of the BOOKS, I am really excited about this new movie and did enjoy the first movie. Can’t wait for fall and the new movie!

Yeah Trent the food at Blue Water is off-the-charts good. Same with Glowbal Grill (the other place those fun-lovin’ little vampires have been hangin’).
Both restaurants are in Yaletown, a neighbourhood with a disproportionate number of yummy restaurants considering the actual size of the ‘hood itself.
It’s also chock full of skinny girls with a giant coffee cup in one hand and a tiny dog in the other and an iPhone somewhere in between. Plus their boyfriends are usually found somewhere nearby, rockin’ their version of a look that screams “Madden Brothers”.

@Kent — I might have to come for a visit sometime :)

I have to agree with Kent the food is simply amazing. They have the most amazing menu and some of the best sushi I have ever had. Yaletown is the place to be in Vancouver. If you make it up this way you’ll have to let me buy you a round.

This was with the Eclipse director… just a get together. Scripts were seen given out to the cast for the new movie. This happened last week, filming just finished today or yesterday…..

there’s going to be so many tears if this movie is worst than the first.

Agree Infamous…..the first movie was just not anything close to what it should have been!

I agree with Infamous and JeniLee. Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse were good books, they could have been great. The problem with them however lies within its core- and that problem is that the author, Stephanie Meyer, has this very heavy religious message that cannot be escaped. You don’t feel like there is love between Edward and Bella because there is no passion. He has this weird restraint- which is part of the religious overtones that dominate this book. They needed to tweak some of that for the film- but they didnt do enough of it.

So soon? They really are milking this franchise, huh?

I heart Yaletown
May 17th, 2009 at 12:40 pm
@Trent – sounds fun! you’d die for the sushi not too mention that lots of izakaya’s have been popping up lately including Shiru Bay which is in the same hood and is drop dead deee-lish!

@ Infamous – if it gets worse then the first, then theres something seriously wrong!

Yes, I am friends with a set worker here in van city and they said the budget for this movie is WAY more than the twilight…referring to the first film as hokey pokey. YAY!
