Robert Pattinson Celebrates His 23rd Birthday

Robert Pattinson, everyone’s fave vampire that sparkles, gathered up a few of his castmates from The Twilight Saga: New Moon (including Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and more) which is currently in production in Vancouver, BC Canada for an impromptu 23rd birthday celebration last night. I understand the crew spent a long 12-hour day filming scenes for the film before meeting up at Global Grill and Satay Bar for the par-tay. Here are a few pics of R. Pattz making his exit from the event after the soiree ended at around 1AM:


While Rob has been working furiously on this new Twilight sequel, he still has a lot of work ahead of him. He just signed on to appear with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz in a new movie titled Unbound Captives to be directed by first time director and actress Madeline Stowe. Then, of course, there’s the matter of the other Twilight sequel, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which will go into production at some point later on this year since it is scheduled for a June 2010 release. Bizzy, bizzy, bizzy. I hope Rob had himself a great birthday party with his friends … his downtime looks like it’s gonna be severely limited for a long time to come. He’s smart, tho. Striking while the iron is hot is the only way to stay alive and relevant in Hollywood. He’s only 23, he’s got the rest of his life to sleep. Happy Birthday, Rob!!

    I liked Rob so much better before Twilight. It makes me hate Twilight (that that I particulary cared for it before) I miss Rob in Indie movies! Though I’m glad he did Twilight ONLY because if he didn’t Little Ashes probably never would have been released and I needed that movie to come out, I LOVE DALI!!!

    ksant, I am! Edward had to be gone for the book to make sense….but I’m thinking we’re gonna see a lot of his side of the story (while he’s gone). Hopefully, they don’t mess it all up with Jacob and Bella for the sake of having “Robert Pattinson”!

    I think that Rob is filming a lot, because if you remember from the book, Bella dreams about him practically through the whole book, plus, I do think they are going to film when he receives the phone call from Rosalie, when he decides to go to the Volturi, etc..this all being from my perspective of course….;-)

    I have a theory about his prominance in New Moon… he’s there in the first portion and last portion of the book and his scenes are among the most important to the story line, as first he leaves and then he comes back and it’s his return and Bella’s realization that set the stage for the rest of the series. So I think those portions of the book are going to take a chunk of the movie. Also, while the rabid Jacob fans out there absolutely loved reading 300 pages of teenage angst and watching a guy follow a girl who doesn’t have the same feelings around like a sick puppy dog; everyone else wanted to shoot themselves halfway through that portion. So while I think we’re going to see a lot of the middle of the book, I also think we’re gonna get glimpses of what Edward was doing and also when she hears him in her head! Again this is only my theory but it seems to make sense right?!

    i guess – i dunno, as depressing as it was reading about bella being depressed, i really feel like it was an important part of the story – without edward leaving, i don’t think the series would have ended the same way, because bella wouldn’t have had the chance to grow without him there…
    i’m just nervous because twilight the movie was so much different than the book…and while i know there are inevitably changes to the story when you move from page to screen, i really felt like they took more liberties than they needed to…
    time will tell i guess!!
