Rihanna, who has been making her fair share of public appearances in recent weeks not the least of which was her return to the red carpet Monday night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, was spotted braving the rain in the streets of NYC last night lookin’ utterly faboo underneath her bright yellow umbrella (most likely trying to avoid detection, without much success) … behold:
It seems to me that Rihanna, who is clearly ready to hit the red carpet again, is getting back to her old self. These photos recall the good ol’ days before her assault when her nightly duty was to just look fabulous wherever she went. The thigh high boots leather leggings paired with the short jean shorts is a nice look for her … one that she’s rocked before. Seeing her with an umbrella instantly recalls her mega hit song of the same name that rocketed her to superstardom … perhaps this is her signal to us that her life is finally getting back to normal. She looks great, it’s really fantastic seeing her look so well again.

I don’t know about those leggings, but I’m loving that soft leather jacket. A tip for Madonna…this is how leather jackets should be worn, not tight. (unless you’re actually riding your bike. lol)

IMHO can be in my honest opinion as well, right? either way. I just don’t know about Rihanna anymore. I’m glad she canceled her tour because she’s beaten her last album out to death and she needs new material.

Countless times now I’ve managed to completely avoid detection in public while wearing my leather leggings. I only hope they worked for Rihanna as well as they did for me.

Yea cause a girl like her with stupid earings like that, a tonne of make up, hair done up, outift like that and those boots really wants to avoid detection by holding a BRIGHT ass yellow umbrella.
She really has some FIERCE style. People are just jealous they can’t pull it off. That umbrella is THE BEST UMBRELLA I’VE EVER SEEN. It’s like a sun and spotlight.
