‘Public Enemies’ Releases A New Batch Of Movie Posters
Johnny Depp, Christian Bale and Academy Award-winning actress Marion Cotillard are among the big names starring in this Summer’s cops & robbers film Public Enemies which tells the tale of the notorious crime wave that gripped the nation back in 1930 … making pseudo-celebrities out of criminals like John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd. Here is our first look at a new movie poster which features Johnny Depp, who stars as John Dillinger in the film:

I used to be fascinated with the notion that bank robbers could become celebrities in this country but never quite could believe it … of course, this was in the days before the Internet and Reality TV took over the public consciousness. Now I can understand how something like that could happen very easily … tho, it still amazes me that this celeb status could so easily spring up back in the 1930s. I can’t wait to see this film … I hear it’s going to be amazing. After the jump, check out two more posters from Public Enemies — one which features Christian Bale (as Melvin Purvis) and one which features Marion Cotillard (as Billie Frechette) …

In this film Bale plays FBI Bureau Chief Melvin Purvis and, in some respects, could be seen as the “bad guy” of the movie since the stars of the film are the bank robbers. I can’t wait to see how they pull off this period piece. I normally hate “old fashioned” movies but I can’t wait to see this one!

I’m sorry but I fail to see the interest level in this movie :-( I have seen the previews and it does not look appealing to me at all. There are so many other great summer movies out there that look so interesting and were so good, Wolverine, Star Trek, Angels and Demons, and the upcoming Transformers and Harry Potter, that they end up swamping down this movie. Will anyone care by the time it comes out??? P.S. I really hope that is FAKE fur Marion Cotillard is wearing :( FurIsDead.com

This is another film I’ve been really excited about. The combination of Johnny Depp and Christian Bale is going to be intense. On a superficial note, how incredible does Johnny Depp look? What is he now, 45? He doesn’t look anywhere near it – and usually smokers look older than they actually are. It’s not like he lived a quiet life before settling down with Vanessa either. Whatever his secret, he looks amazing.

Yay! My brother is in this movie (a very small role), so of course I am going to run and go see it the second it comes out! He filmed with both Johnny Depp and Christian Bale…I was like “did you get to talk to them?” and apparently that was a definite, definite “No.” Ha ha.

Agree with nicole…Johnny Depp is so careful in the movie roles he choses that when we are lucky enough to see one he doesn’t disappoint. I love “old” movies..especially the 30’s so I am all about this movie. And even if we only get to see Channing for like 30 seconds…isn’t it worth it? :) yum

I cannot wait for this. I’d dress up when I see this movie. Because it’s Johnny Depp, you know.
