Levi Alves Meets The Ocean
The little guy gets his first introduction

Here are a few supercute pictures of daddy Matthew McConaughey giving his baby boy Levi Alves his first introduction to the Pacific Ocean at a beach in Malibu, CA yesterday. As you can see, Levi didn’t appear to be too excited to be venturing into the water but his daddy was there to hold his hand:


And as you can see in the second photo, Matthew was also there to almost pull the little guy’s arms out of their sockets … ouch! While I’m sure Matthew thinks swinging around his son by his arms might be fun, I believe it’s actually harmful for the baby’s developing arm joints. In any event, the guys do look like they’re having fun. We know that Matthew is a big fan of water sports (er, surfing, that is) so I’m sure he’s anxious for his son to learn an affinity for the water as well. Baby steps is the way to go … I bet we’ll be seeing these two surfing side-by-side in no time.

    @gabi – I understand what you are getting at by reposting that chain letter type thing. But so many of them are simply not factual it is silly.

    There was no childhood obesity? And NO ONE starved to death? Really?
    My grandmother DID have to work to make ends meet in the 40s and 50s. So in a way I don’t really know what you are getting at because it seems like a very high and mighty way to feel about the past. I’m not saying I agree with all the “things” that go on now but jeez. It’s strange to think that parents don’t side with the law anymore and kids don’t ride in cars without proper safety belts, etc. Because they do.

    And I enjoyed being swung (swinged?) by my arms as a kid and luckily never had any trouble. :)

    Evil Slave is going to have wrist issues, because Trent is right, is is harmful to swing babies by the wrists in such a manner too much…they have growth plates in all major joints and the wrist are very easy to mess up and shoudl be handled with care, even at the beach.

    hahaha such a fuzz over a child swinging by his arms. I did it to my son, my nephew and niece and they are all still alive and with all their limbs. Of course that doesn’t mean this can’t happen to another kid, but lots of things can happen. You can fall from a horse and end up like Christopher Reeve so don’t ever ride one, you can get hit by a car, so don’t cross the street, you can get mugged and shot, so don’t get out of your house.
    Not a way to live, not for me at least.
    Regarding Mathew and the little dude. CUTE!!!! Such a cute scene, the little dude is growing up so fast.
