LA Transplants In NYC
For the most part, last night was a pretty chill night for David and me here in NYC. We spent much of the day lounging about the apartment … mainly because I wanted to be home to watch Game 3 of the Western Conference Championship hockey game between the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks. The game took place in Chicago so I knew it was gonna be a goodie. Chicago enjoyed a 3-0 lead for far too long for my tastes but a fire was lit under the Wings and they came back to tie up the score 3-3 … taking the game into overtime. It pains me to report that Chicago scored first and won their first game of the series (Detroit now leads 2-1). It was a pretty great game so kudos to Chicago for pulling out the win … but the Wings were pretty amazing and almost shocked the hell out of that Chicago crowd. Game 4 will be in Chicago again, here’s hopin’ the Wings will take the next two games and get their asses to the Stanley Cup Championship series as soon as possible :)
After the game was finished, David and I met up with my dear friends Ollie, Irene and Caleb (who are also in town from LA) and my NY loves Sarah (aka Ultragrrrl), Karen, Gurj, her boyfriend Jared & new friends Kanani and Steve for some drinks at 7B bar in the Lower East Side. Karen informed me that it was the place where Carrie Bradshaw got busted for smokin’ a doobie in Sex and the City … that woman is a font of wonderful information — and she loves Tokio Hotel, too! Only Gurj and Jared aren’t featured in the pic cuz they snuck off to go snog or something. She’s British, they do that sometimes. Folks … I am so lucky to have such awesome friends. I love these people so much … salts of the Earth, all of ‘em :)
This afternoon, David, Eden and I are going to see Coraline: The Musical. I am so excited!!! Tonight, we are planning to meet up with David’s crew, mebbe my crew again and hopefully my dear friend Oriana who also hails from Detroit. Today is our last full day in NYC but it promises to be a fun one!!

Carrie was standing on a street corner when she got busted for smokin a doobie- so was it outside this bar? Sorry…I am full of way too much trivial SATC knowledge….
