Joseph Gordon Levitt, who will be appearing in the films 500 Days of Summer and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra this year, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the issue #14 of VMan magazine which is due to hit stands on May 14. As you may, or may not know, Joseph will portray the character of The Doctor in G.I. Joe … a character that will eventually become the villainous leader Cobra Commander. Methinks that this darker photospread in VMan is a signaler of things to come. JGL usually features in fun, spirited photoshoots (like his last for Details magazine) but these are more … intense. It’s going to be a great year for JGL. I can’t wait to see him in action.

It’s so funny to read all of the Heath Ledger comparisons because I thought he looked EXACTLY like Heath when they starred together in 10 Things I Hate About You. Heath was just older, buffer and hotter. Every time they were onscreen together I was like, “Man, they look like brothers!” I wonder why more people haven’t noticed till now. I guess it’s b/c Joseph is looking like he’s finally matured into a man. I wonder if he had to bulk up to play a G.I. Joe? Weren’t they really muscular? I’ve seen all of the movies people are talking about and he is BRILLIANT in all of them, especially Manic. He’s a very talented actor and he seems to choose his films wisely. Another one to check out is The Lookout.
