‘Inglourious Basterds’ Releases A New Poster
Here is our first look at new movie poster for Brad Pitt’s new film Inglourious Basterds (which is being directed by Quentin Tarantino) that clearly decrees that Brad is a Basterd … behold:

As you may recall, Basterds tells the tale of a group of Jewish-American Nazi-hunters who brutally scalp and/or behead the Nazis that they found … which, of course, means it will be a nice family-friendly movie. In any event, this is what Brad will look like in his role as Lt. Aldo Raine, described by Tarantino as a “hillbilly straight from the mountains of Tennessee”. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this film … I think I’ll need to see/hear more before I form an initial opinion. What do y’all think … does this sound like a movie you’d like to see?

I’m not too interested in seeing it. Sounds disgusting.

I am a die-hard Tarantino fan, therefore, I will see any movie he releases. :)

Of what I’ve read and seen of it…it looks pretty good! But it is going to be violent!

It looks very Tarantinoesque which I love. Def looking forward to it, it should be both funny and disturbing. Good balance.

i’m a tarantino fan as well. but i think i’ll wait until it comes out on dvd till i watch it……..

Not interested at all and I really like historical drama. This just doesn’t appeal.
May 3rd, 2009 at 3:43 pm
Uh….that’s not how you spell Bastard. It’s with an “a.”
May 3rd, 2009 at 3:58 pm
@Clare I think that’s the point. ;)
May 3rd, 2009 at 3:58 pm
Both ‘inglorious’ and ‘bastard’ were spelt incorrectly on purpose.
I’ll see the movie out of curiosity. :)

This movie seems extremely weird.

taratino has the most intriguing films.
i’m just glad that the ’stache wasn’t a trend and was intended fora movie!

Considering I’m from the mountains of Tennessee, I’m not sure if I’m offended by the hillbilly statement or if I agree with it.
On a different note, I’m not crazy about Tarantino films so I don’t know about this movie…or if I like the porn stache that Brad has in this movie.

I think if this was done by anyone else, it wouldn’t work..But Tarantino is such an amazing director..He’ll make it work!
May 3rd, 2009 at 6:38 pm
Im interested if only because I want to see Brad Pitt embrace a backwoods accent.
May 3rd, 2009 at 6:55 pm
Hmm, Tarantino films are normally too violent for me but this one is intriguing – the fact that Brad Pitt is in it helps.
May 3rd, 2009 at 6:59 pm
I dislike Brad Pitt very much

I think the man is insane, but Tarantino makes good films…

I’m not sure I like the idea of this movie. In no way is it based on a true story. So why pretend that it happened, when it did not? Why try to glamorize the war? It was what it was. I’d rather see something like Schindler’s List or Sophie Scholl than the likes of this or Valkerie……

I love T’s writing, but I can’t handle the violence. I’d be more likely to read the script than watch the movie.

recent tarantino movie’s – trash.
brad pitt’s acting – paint drying boring.
May 3rd, 2009 at 9:05 pm
Definately! Looks like the only decent movie worth watching in ages!

i’m excited for daniel brühl in this movie. that’s why i’m seeing it :D

So, I didn’t think I’d be the first one to point this out… but what is up with the neck scar? He was either hung at one point or head his neck slit… icky poo. Poor Bradley

I saw a preview at the movies last week. I was most surprised to see BJ Novak, it may be interesting to see him in a “serious” role. I like the premise, but QT is usually too gross for me.

I’m willing to give Tarantino every benefit of the doubt, and this case is no different. I’m way more excited about this movie than I was for, say, Kill Bill. Brad Pitt helps. We know he can be one heckuva psycho from Fight Club and 12 Monkeys.

Sounds like another testosterone-filled movie. I’ll watch it. I know Brad can act and Tarantino always has a trick up his sleeve. :)
May 4th, 2009 at 7:56 am
Inglorious Douches is more like it.
May 4th, 2009 at 7:57 am
I read a draft of the film’s script online and it is AWESOME. Yes, it’s bloody and violent, but the story is really amazing. Can’t wait for this one!
May 4th, 2009 at 7:58 am
I dont think i really want to see brad pitt scalp and behead nazis. I bet the soundtrack will be better than the film, it always is with Tarantino movies.
May 4th, 2009 at 8:13 am
This is not for me.
May 4th, 2009 at 8:16 am
Corey, yeah, from what I’ve heard from someone who read the script, Brad’s character has the neck scar as if he’d been unsuccessfully hung at some point, but the story behind it is never mentioned. I guess kind of like you never see what’s in the briefcase and you never find out why Marcellus Wallace had the bandaid on his head in Pulp Fiction.
May 4th, 2009 at 9:13 am
Bastard was spelled wrong for a reason. (Tarantino’s idea). I have read what the movie is about. Saw the trailer. I am actually excited about this movie. I love Tarantino’s movies (yes..even Grindhouse…so cheesetastic!) It looks like it’s going to be really good so I’m looking forward to seeing it.
May 4th, 2009 at 10:24 am
I can’t wait to see this. How is it that Brad Pitt can be dressed so lame and still look so hot?
May 4th, 2009 at 10:38 am
I have to disagree Brad doesn’t look to sharp in here. He’s lost his boyish goodlooks.
May 5th, 2009 at 11:42 am
Ya know…as a fan of Tarantino…I’m prolly gonna see it. But I have real mixed emotions of where this might lead. My feelings are on the negative right now…but Tarantino may surprise…ehh
