Freddie Prinze, Jr. Visits SMG On The Set Of ‘The Wonderful Maladys’
Yesterday we got our first look at Sarah Michelle Gellar making the first steps towards her long-awaited return to TV as she began filming new scenes for her new HBO series The Wonderful Maladys. Today we get to see a few more pics from the Maladys set, where Freddie Prinze, Jr. (SMG’s hubby of 6 years) stopped by for a quick visit with his wife:

I have to admit … it’s gonna be hella weird to see SMG on TV again and not think of her iconic role as Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Just this week I watched a rerun of the Sex and the City ep where Carrie Bradshaw and the girls went to LA to see about turning her column into a movie. SMG played an overwrought and annoying assistant on the ep … and all I saw was an overwrought and annoyed Buffy. You’d think that all these years after the series ended, I’d be over that already. Perhaps this new HBO series will be just the thing to allow me to see her in a different light. It was sweet of FPJ to swing by the set to say hello … it’s clear that he loves taking care of his wife. These two are going to make great parents. I can’t wait until they bring forth the fruit of their loins cuz it’s been a long time coming. And the Bump Watch! continues.

I love love love SMG and feel the same way – she will always be Buffy! Just as Alyson will always be Willow, not Lily. And Eliza will always be Faith, not Echo/Carolyn. And David will always be Angel, not Booth.
I miss Buffy :(

Every time *I* see SMG, I always see her as that b**ch in the movie “Cruel Intentions”.

I’m thinking it will be a good series considering HBO runs some really great shows.
