Candy Spelling Blames Tori Spelling For Aaron Spelling’s Death
Mommie Dearest

Yikes! As if the animosity between Candy Spelling (mother) and Tori Spelling (daughter) wasn’t already bad enough, Candy had to go and lob another accusation/attack on Tori in a new radio interview this week wherein mother publicly blamed her daughter for the death of TV producer/mogul Aaron Spelling (Candy‘s husband, Tori‘s father). Now, I like me a family feud as much as the next person (OK, I really don’t … but up until now the Candy vs. Tori thing has been marginally amusing) but this seems to be taking things a bit too far. It wasn’t that long ago that Candy Spelling released one of her famous “open letters” to daughter Tori pleading for a reconciliation … but Tori refused. Clearly, that didn’t sit well with Candy … hence, these new comments blaming Tori for Aaron‘s death. Damn. And I bet you thought your family had issues:

Everybody knows Candy and Tori Spelling had a beef, but now moms is taking the family feud to a whole new level of nasty. Appearing on a Massachusetts radio station Thursday to pimp her new book, Stories from Candyland, Candy Spelling not just bad-mouthed her 90210-starring spawn, but went so far as to blame husband Aaron Spelling’s demise on her estranged daughter. “My daughter one day decided that she wasn’t speaking to my husband, myself and my son and that’s how it’s continued for the last, oh gosh, four or five years,” Candy said to 94.7 WMAS-FM’s Kellogg Krew. “And it was sad, that’s what killed my husband actually. He just didn’t want to live after that. He has just done everything he could possibly do for his daughter and she wanted no part of him once he couldn’t do anything for her.” The über-producer died June 23, 2006, following a stroke; angst was not listed as the official cause of death. Candy says that while both women have paid lip service in interviews about reconnecting, there has been no such luck thus far. “I’ve always been trying to work on the relationship. I don’t know what the anger is.” Call it a hunch, but maybe it has something to do with the accusations of patricide. We’ve been trying to get reps for Tori and Candy on the horn, but so far nada.

This is about as low as low-blows go. It’s one thing to launch personal attacks on someone else (tho, it’s pretty sad when those attacked are leveled at your own flesh and blood) but to publicly blame your daughter for the death of her father is just … shitty. I used to think that Candy was a spitfire but this is just a really crappy thing to say about your daughter. Something tells me that a reconciliation between these two grown, adult women now has an even greater likelihood of never happening … ever. I do feel bad for Tori Spelling tho … it must be really terrible to hear these sorts of attacks coming from one’s own mother. The late Joan Crawford ain’t got nothing on the Mommie Dearestness of Candy Spelling.

That’s disgusting! come the hell on he was like a zillion years old, I’m pretty sure old age is what killed him.

  2. ally says:

gosh that’s just awful. and when tori hears what her mom said, that’s just going to kill her. she’s probably beating herself up for not talking to her dad and then it was too late, but now to have her own mother accuse her of being the reason her father passed… that’s gotta make a person feel too worse for words. i feel bad for tori.

  3. morgenne says:

It shows what a horrible woman Candy Spelling is. And I can’t blame Tori for not speaking to her. Why would you want someone like that in your life? Candy Spelling is disgusting to say that. She has spent her whole life being jealous of her daughter. How pathetic! I hope Tori doesn’t read this but I’m sure she will hear about it. What an awful thing to say…I feel bad she has such a awful mother.

  4. Shawna says:

Plain and simple, her mother is a bitch and her dad was old so it was probably the old age that did it.

  5. Christy says:

It was living with Candy Spelling I would have died to get the fricken hell away from her.

  6. SuziLee says:

Oh wow – Mommie Dearest got nothin on this b-yotch!!! DAMN that is so cold to blame your daughter for your husband’s death!!!!! WOW.

  7. Taylor says:

So ‘not talking to daughter’ is a cause of death for a man in poor health who is in his 90s!? I don’t think so. Candy Spelling needs to get herself some serious mental help. Tori is better off without this monster in her life.

  9. Mr. Gyllenhaal says:

That is some jacked up shit! Seriously, it is one thing to say that to your daughter in private, even thou so disgusting and cruel but to say it on a national radio station?? WTF…Candy is pathetic!!!

  10. Meream says:

These two are such drama queens. Airing out dirty laundry in public just so people will talk about them.

  11. Bleeding Ears says:

Clearly this woman does not think because an attempt to drive up sales of her book is about to have the opposite effect. She’s just castrated herself in the public eye.

  12. Kisha says:

This is shiteous! Tori has said time and time again on her reality show that she regret the sitution between her and her dad and how much she misses him and for her to say something like this is LOW, and yet she still doesnt believe that she is in the wrong it just makes me think that the situation between her and tori is faaarrr worse than tori makes it out to be. To be honest she [ tori ] is better off without her mom and its sad bcuz there is little children involved i.e. her grandchildren whom she might not b able to see after this! R.I.P Aaron Spelling!

  13. Bald Outing says:

candy got all the money, what’s she bitching about?

  14. nicole says:

im sorry – no matter how much i didnt get along with child i could never blame them for the death of thier father. thats just sick.

  15. Jessica says:

4 or 5 years? It took 4 or 5 years of Tori not speaking to her family before her father passed away? The man was in his 80′s so I think maybe old age could have been what he actually died of. This is the lowest of blows and I can see why Tori has nothing to do with her mother.

  16. Sweet_Lady says:

wow, didn’t OLD AGE kill him? *rolls eyes at Candy*

  17. cowgirl says:

Candy’s problems are obviously deeper than we realize……. I used to think Tori was a spoiled whiney brat.. now realize she’s more adult and level headed about this “feud” than her mother! GROW UP CANDY. Sheesh.

  18. LOVE G says:

Candy’s a horrible mother. She needs to just shut up. Wow.

  19. Chella says:

Tori is doing so great without her Mom in her life, if I were her I would “Keep on keeping on” and not look back! Candy will find another victim eventually !!

  20. Jacintos says:

Wow that’s awful. It’s not like Aaron was 40 and and at the peak of health.
