Paris Hilton & Doug Reinhardt Take ICK To A Whole New Level

Hide thine eyes to keep from gettin' ill
Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Blech … new photos of Paris Hilton and her new man Doug Reinhardt getting down and dirty while partying at the Cannes Film Festival have come to light. While I really wish I could unsee the horror that I subjected my poor eyes to, I’m afraid that isn’t possible. And so, because misery loves company, I want to share the photos with all y’all. Here is a batch of highly unsettling photos of Pug Dilton gettin’ freaky with one another inside a club this week:

After starring in 2004 sex tape 1 Night In Paris, you’d expect Paris Hilton to stay away from home videos. But during her latest night out in Cannes, the hotel heiress shed her inhibitions and put on a sexy show as she was filmed by her latest boyfriend Doug Reinhardt. After changing from a gold sequinned mini-dress into a tiny black number, the socialite ended up flashing her knickers at fellow partygoers as she grappled with Doug on the dancefloor. After filming Paris, 28, perform a sexy dance, besotted Doug, 23, pulled his girlfriend onto his lap for a very public kissing session. The couple, who have been dating for three months, couldn’t keep their hands off each other at the VIP Rooms club on the French Riviera. Earlier that night, the couple put on another display of public affection as they enjoyed a spot of tonsil-tennis in full view of the hundreds of revellers. The bash was held in honour of Paris to celebrate the sale of her documentary Paris, Not France, which she has been touting around the festival this week.

Ugh. Trust me … you ain’t even seen the grossest display of Pug Dilton’s affection for one another. If you think you can handle it … there’s more. After the jump, check out one more photo that will surely have you thinking Why, gods, why?

First Look: ‘The Vampire Diaries’

Let's hope it don't suck
Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Earlier today we got our first look at the new version of Melrose Place which will air this coming Fall on The CW and now we get our first look at another CW series scheduled to debut as well. The Vampire Diaries is the TV adaptation of the L.J. Smith book series of the same name. Here are a few promo pics from the new series which features two vampire brothers (one good, one bad) who are each vying for the affections of a human girl caught in between:

“Vampire Diaries” is an adaptation of L.J. Smith’s novel series which tells about two vampire brothers, one good and one evil, fighting the passion for the same girl, Elena. Nina Dobrev will play Elena while the good brother, Stefan, will be played by Paul Wesley. The evil brother, Damon is played by Ian Somerhalder. It airs Thursdays at 8 P.M. before “Supernatural”.

I have not personally read these books but I’ve heard from many people that the series is very good and the TV adaptation is just as good. Vampires are really hot right now … it doesn’t surprise me that The CW would want to jump on the bandwagon and bring another vampire tale to the masses. The fact that Ian Somerhalder is cast as the bad vamp brother intrigues me to no end. I never really pictured him as a bad guy … in Buffy terms, I guess he would be the Spike to Paul Wesley’s Angel (while Spike and Angel are not brothers, they are vampire family and did vie for Buffy’s affections). This is deffo one of the new series I am looking forward to seeing come Fall. Ian Somerhalder on my TV screen? Yes, please. And you thought vampires couldn’t get any hotter.

Trent Reznor Asks For Your Help To Save A Life

Help fund a heart transplant and hang out with Nine Inch Nails
Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Trent Reznor posted a message on the official Nine Inch Nails website last night asking fans for their help. Eric De La Cruz is in dire need of a $150,000 heart transplant and is, apparently, getting no help from the Nevada Medicaid system. TR decided to offer up intimate one-on-one backstage access to NIN at various tour stops along the NIN/JA 2009 Tour for those of you who are generously able to donate significant sums to help Eric fund his heart transplant. Here is the full text of Trent Reznor’s message to fans as posted on the official NIN site:

A Letter from Trent:

This is for something important. Eric De La Cruz is dying and needs a heart transplant. He keeps getting turned down for a transplant list because he’s on Nevada Medicaid, and there are no transplant centers in Nevada. We want to get involved and hopefully so do you, so we’re extending a hand. His sister Veronica (former Anchor and Internet Correspondent for CNN) has started a campaign to save his life.

Eric’s situation shines a bright light on a broken health care system, and his particular set of problems are being addressed on the political front, aiming for reform in addition to the need for immediate financial help to keep him alive TODAY. I think we can help with the latter.

Here’s what we’re offering – three options:

If you have a ticket to a NIN/JA show: if you donate $1,000 to this cause, we’ll invite you to come hang out with us before the NIN/JA show of your choice. You and a guest can watch soundcheck, eat dinner backstage with us, take pics / get autographs and watch the show from the side of the stage if you’d like.

If you donate $300, you and a friend can join us for soundcheck and a handshaking / hug session before doors open at the NIN/JA show of your choice.

If you do NOT have a ticket to a NIN/JA show: if you donate $1,200 to this cause, we’ll invite you to come hang out with us before the NIN/JA show of your choice and provide 2 tickets (best available). You and a guest can watch soundcheck, eat dinner backstage with us, take pics / get autographs and watch the show from the side of the stage if you’d like.

100% of the money collected from this will go directly to Eric’s fund.

I hope you’ll consider helping out with this.

Sincerely, Trent Reznor

Believe me, I know that it is really hard for some folks to part with significant sums of money in this economic environment. That said, I’m sure that any donation that you might be able to afford will go a long way in helping Veronica De La Cruz fund her brother’s much needed heart transplant. This is an issue of life or death. It is really damn commendable for TR to offer up his help in this way. I was so moved by his plea last night that I made my donation on the spot last night as I read this letter on my phone. Right there at the NewNowNext Awards I made my donation. I hope that you, too, can help out in any way you can for this great cause. I don’t know what I would do if I was faced with having to find a way to pay for a loved one’s heart transplant … it’s the least I could do to try and help ease that burden for the De La Cruz family. I hope you feel the same. If you cannot donate, please pass these links along to all of your friends on your blog, My Space/Facebook pages, Twitter profiles, etc. Click HERE for more information on Eric De La Cruz’s situation and click HERE if you want to donate the sums required to be able to hang out with Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails backstage. I’m looking forward to posting that the required sum has been reached and that Eric will be able to have his heart transplant. Make those donations, y’all!!!

UPDATE: TR just posted on his Twitter profile that they have since raised over $260,000:

I am truly blown away by the response to this: http://store.nin.com/helperic – we are over 260K in less than a day! THANK YOU #ERIC

Great, great news! Keep the donations coming!!!

LOGO Knows How To Party Hearty

The TV Guide
Thursday, May 21st, 2009

As I mentioned earlier, David and I were invited to attend the 2nd annual NewNowNext Awards hosted by LOGO here in NYC last night and we had a blast. Because we were not allowed to take photos during the show, I cannot post the ones I clandestinely snapped until after the show airs on June 13 … but I do have some pics to share:

I got to meet, hang out and bond with the fabulous singers Sia and Del Marquis from Scissor Sisters (Del has also released some solo music which I have listened to and LOVE so much). I also got to chat with Bethenny and Jill from the Real Housewives of NYC (no pic tho, they snuck out of the show before I could accost them for a photo) and talk at length with Ongina from RuPaul’s Drag Race. Gurl is so fab and so sweet … we bonded over mini-pizzas :) Ongina lives in LA so hopefully we’ll get to run into one another again soon :)

I also got to meet some really great folks last night … like cute couple Chris and Craig and some LOGO folks — Jonathyn, Morgan and Erin. There were so many lovely people who had such nice things to say about the blog, it was my pleasure meeting you all. MTV parties are always so fun and are always full of really great people. David and I ended up staying out WAY later than I would’ve liked but we were having such a great time, it couldn’t be helped. Make sure YOU TUNE IN to LOGO on June 13 to find out who went home with this year’s NewNowNext Awards. Don’t forget, Pink is the new Blog sponsored the award for the celeb who is Ruining Pop Culture. I know who won … but I’m SWORN to secrecy ;) Tune in and find out who won!

Tonight … David, Eden and I are going to see Rock of Ages on Broadway. I’m so excited … I’ve wanted to see this show for so long … and tonight’s the night! Woot!!
