Last night David and I met up with Kirsten (who I haven’t seen in eons) and Darion for a nice dinner get together at the Cheesecake Factory in Beverly Hills, CA. Lest you think the Cheesecake Factory in BH is fancier, I’ll let you know it’s not … just more empty. It was really great seeing Kirsten after all this time … we’ve all been so bizzy that we don’t get to see as much of one another as we would like. Much love goes out to Darion for his tireless work on keeping us all connected:

We’re hoping to start up a regular meeting time for all of us to get together … hopefully we can reach out to all members of Le Gang ^TM so we can get back to all the hangin’ out we used to do. It would be really nice to spend more time with my peeps.

No big plans for today … I’m trying to lie low before the big Game 6 hockey match-up between the Detroit Red Wings and the Anaheim Ducks here in SoCal. Quiet Mondays really are the best.

Yesterday we learned that Heidi Klum and Seal renewed their wedding vows in a fun ceremony in Malibu, CA Saturday that looked like it was a bit kitschy … but it turns out that the affair was a full-blown white trash themed extravaganza! Here are a few more photos from the ceremony that show just how far the couple was willing to take their theme wedding:

Yes Heidi is pregs with her 4th child (which we now know is a girl) and yes it looks like she’s smoking a cigarette but it’s all part of the act. I have to say, the couple really know how to have fun … tho, I can’t say that I would ever want to mark the occasion of my anniversary by having a white trash wedding. The couple very famously love to host elaborate costume parties so none of this should really come as a surprise. As you can see, invited guests were strongly urged to dress for the occasion. The couple that plays together, stays together … and from the looks of this wedding ceremony, Heidi and Seal will prolly be together forever.

Jamie Lee Curtis, who is now more commonly known as the Activia Lady, created a sensation on the red carpet at the 2009 Noche De Niños Gala here in LA on Saturday night. JL sported a hot pink wig on the red carpet … which looked exactly like the one that Britney Spears made famous a couple of years ago when she was, shall we say, mentally unstable … behold:

Happily, I can report that Jamie Lee hasn’t lost her mind or anything like that, she was merely paying tribute to a young cancer patient at the Children’s Hospital of LA who likes to wear a pink wig. The Noche De Niños Gala is a multicultural event sponsored by the hospital to honor their heroes, described as “the courageous children and their exceptional caregivers who make miracles happen every day”. I understand that 12 nurses at the hospital were honored for their 35 years of service to the Children’s Hospital of LA … sounds like a pretty cool event. And, it must be said, JL Curtis really knows how to rock the pink wig right.

Channing Tatum, who is clearly lookin’ to get his body back in shape, was spotted on the streets of West Hollywood enjoying a nice jog in the Sun yesterday afternoon … and thankfully, the lad decided to leave his shirt at home:

Sure, we’ve seen Channing’s body in more toned and muscled shape but I, for one, do not mind the sight of his shirtlessness no matter what state of physical fitness he is in. The man is just hawt! Now that his film Fighting is in theaters, we only have two more of his movies to look forward to … he will be appearing in Public Enemies at the early part of the Summer and then in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra at the end of the Summer — so he’s got plenty of time to get back into pique condition. Work it out, Channing … we’ll be watching :)

Jake Gyllenhaal’s big action/adventure film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time won’t be opening in theaters until May of 2010 but producer Jerry Bruckheimer has already teased with the first (tiny) bit of footage from the film in a new ABC Movie Special over the weekend. Here are a few caps of Jake as Prince Dastan in the film:

Disney’s live action movie based on the video game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is still over a year away, but that hasn’t stopped the Mouse House from giving ABC viewers a first look at the movie thanks to producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s appearance during a recent ABC Movie Special. He talks about the plot of the movie, while the footage shows actor Jake Gyllenhaal’s training for the Parkour moves he uses in the film, which is directed by Mike Newel (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), as well as some of the location shooting in the deserts of Morocco … Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is scheduled for release on May 28, Memorial Day weekend, 2010.

While this new footage is a great little tease, it doesn’t offer nearly enough Jakey pooness to fully satisfy. The scenes are pretty fleeting and there is only one shirtless scene, which goes by in an instant. Robert Pattinson, star of The Twilight Saga movie franchise and all around heartthrob to ladies and some gents worldwide, made his way to SoCal last week for a quick trip. Due to the fact that he is currently in production of The Twilight Saga: New Moon in Vancouver, BC Canada, R. Pattz was forced to stay hidden from the California sun’s rays so as not to lose any of his pasty white, vampiric-like pallor. Yesterday, Rob left LA for Vancouver and showed up at LAX Aiport covered from head to toe … like a good vamp is wont to do … behold:

Oh yes, Rob deffo knows which side of his bread is buttered … I’m sure he is strongly encouraged to stay as covered up as possible whenever he ventures out in the sunlight. I’m actually surprised they don’t make him travel around inside a garment bag … or a coffin. While it was nice to have R. Pattz walking among us here in LA, I’m glad to know that he’s already made his way back to Vancouver to continue work on New Moon. A vampire’s work is never done.
