Wolverine Dons The Milk’stache
Hugh Jackman, in character as the X-Men mutant Wolverine, is featured in the newest Got Milk? ad in order to promote both BodybyMilk.com and the new film X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Lest you think that a mutant with adamantium claws might not need to worry himself with fortifying his bones with calcium, think again … besides, who doesn’t want to see the beefy Hugh Jackman rockin’ the milk’stache?

The ad copy reads: My power to regenerate might be top secret but my ability to re-energize is simple. Milk has protien to help build muscle and a unique mix of nutrients to help you refuel. So, eat right, train hard and drink lowfat milk. That’s just common mutant sense.
I ain’t gonna lie … Wolverine in the milk’stache looks a bit silly but I suspect that the campaign will inspire may young kids to try and emulate their comic book hero and will be drinking more milk as a result of this ad. I remember that when I was a kid, I was convinced that eating spinach out of the can just like Popeye did would help me grow super strong … just like Popeye. You can imagine my disappointment when I learned otherwise. My first hint that something was amiss was my inability to squeeze the can of spinach open so that I could swallow the contents whole. After a couple bites of the gross canned green stuff … I determined that Popeye had lied to me. I’m pretty sure that kids who will drink more milk because they want to be like Wolverine in this ad won’t endure the same disappointment (unless they think that drinking milk will give them adamantium claws) so I have nothing against this new Got Milk? ad. Drink up, y’all!

That’s how I got my son to eat spinach for the first time hahaha he wouldn’t until I went “But, look what it does for Popeye” he ate it and loved it, he eats it all the time. I’m loving this add, I love me some wolverine, and of course some Mr Jackman… yum!
