Okay, it’s time to fess up … no, David and I are not engaged to be wed. While some of you may not have been cool with my little joke, David and I actually got a kick out of it. As I said, it’s so hard to pull off an April Fool’s joke that has any semblance of believability … but a subtle mention of something plausible has a chance at being successful. I swear, some of my best friends had to ask me if I was joking or not. I thought about concocting some story about how David and I eloped but there is no way that would’ve worked. I promise, if any such engagement does occur — I’ll make sure to make it clear to all y’all :) Much love to the many of you who had kind things to say about our “good news”. Trust me, we not be officially engaged but David and I are the best we’ve ever been and we are very, very happy together :)
So … let’s move on. Last night, David and I attended the taping of American Idol (as guests of one of the judges, I might add) and had a great time. We were excited to see Lady Gaga but also to watch the taping of the show. Here are the fancy tickets that we had waiting for us:
Hee hee … we did not get any screentime but in one of the wide audience shots I could make out where we were sitting. I wore a bright yellow t-shirt so I was able to pick out our blurry likenesses. We had a great time … much love to the folks at AI for taking such great care of us — we had a blast :)
Tonight, Darion and I are heading out to see Lily Allen in concert … I’m soooo excited. I’m sure it’ll be a great time. Hopefully I’ll have pics to share!!!

@SuziLee — cuz it was the results show, it wasn’t all that exciting. the David Cook performance was pretaped so … we did a lot of sitting around. David actually liked Megan (he cited her unique vocals), I found her rude and wasn’t surprised she was given the boot after her cavalier attitude on the stage.
That was a good prank. Which judge? I am saying Paula. Don’t lie Trent, you know you kick over at Paula’s house for margs and pills:)!! Totally kidding. That rocks. I am loving that Lilly Allen song on the radio.

I went to an elimination show back in 07, actually it was the episode where sanjaya malakar got voted off. I was sitting next to Phil Stacy’s family, right behind Simon. I got a screen shot of myself. haha it was a long by fun day.

Lily Allen!!! gahh insanely jealous- i’ve seen her about 3 times live and loved every second of it. i want lots of piccy’s!!! … and a video recording of ‘knock em out’? lol
Megan’s “cawing” had to do with the fact that she sang “Rockin’ Robin” for Motown night, and the website, Vote for the Worst dot com, made fun of her “caw caw” at the end of the song. They chose her as the new “Sanjaya”, to get people to vote for her to keep her on the show as long as possible, as an insult to AI.

I noticed you said “engaged” but I guess since I sometimes don’t always catch every post, I figured you had already announced it and well, I was happy for ya!! LOL…..however, you are still an “old married couple” as far as I am concerned……;-)
haha I knew it… that was a really funny prank and you got a lot of people. I think marriage is kinda overrated anyway — my bf and I have been together for 9 years — but I understand how gay people might want to at least have the opportunity for it, and take advantage of that opportunity. Anyway, you guys are super cute together and I’m sure you’ll have a very long and happy life together!
