Second, if they made a nice contribution to the shelter then I think that makes up for the fact that they couldn't/didn't get a shelter animal. Third, I can see why they couldn't just go get any animal because their daughter is allergic. I believe in adopting but this situation wasn't the same as a family with non allergies. So I get that they didn't adopt. And the doggie is super cute, I don't know what people are talking about saying it's ugly. It's like the dog version of my cat...maybe that's why I like him so much.
