Yesterday we learned the amazing news that Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick are expecting the birth of twin girls via surrogate this Summer and today we get to see a few photos of SJP running errands in the city on the days after news broke of her impending twins. Lookin’ very much like like her Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw, SJP was spotted running around Manhattan taking care of a few errands … which included a trip to the Just Kidding toy store in Chelsea:

Again, I have to say how thrilled I am that SJP and Matthew are going to be new parents again. Now that their little boy James Wilkie is 6 years old, I think it’s the perfect time for the couple to welcome new children into the family. By the looks of her purchases at the toy store, the new items she picked up are prolly for her 6 year old son rather than for her unborn baby girls. SJP picked up Crocodile Dentist, Art-Omino, Elite Fleet radio-controlled toy airplanes and Clue Suspects … most likely to make little James Wilkie feel loved now that everyone is making a fuss about the twin baby girls. I love SJP as a mom and I am very happy that her family is expanding. Altho there we cannot do a Bump Watch for SJP, I think we can still follow her progress as she awaits the arrival of her new babies.

ummm is she wearing the same pants, different top/shoes? separate days?
@trish — I believe you’re right, the hat pics were from the day news broke, the toy shopping was yesterday :)
I don’t understand why people think SJP is such a “fashionista,” you included, Trent! The only reason Carrie Bradshaw looks good and has that style is SOLELY due to the talent of Pat Fields. To say that Carrie’s style translates over to SJP’s style is giving her way too much credit, no offense. She looks quite frumpy/hippie. But hey, congrats on the twins! :)
i just wish she was gonna have a baby bump…
oh and i love her purple bag in the last pic!!
I wish we could watch a baby bump too, but oh well. Can’t wait to see the little girls anyway. Just hope they don’t give them silly names.
It must be so weird to have kids but yet not carry them.
the toy store is called kidding around, not just kidding. i used to shop there as a kid.
