See … celebs do actually get punished for some of the bad things they do. Take, for example, Jessica Alba who got busted in Santa Monica, CA yesterday after she got pulled over for driving the wrong way on a one way street. I imagine that Jessica flashed her pearly whites and did her best to charm her way out of the ticket … unfortch for her, the cop was prolly well aware of who she was and what movies she’s been in — which is prolly why he ticketed her anyway:

Hee Hee … I can hear it now, But officer, I had no idea I was driving the wrong way … and by any chance have you seen Fantastic Four 2? Yeah, if I were her, I’d shy away from trying to get cops to recognize who she is … she’d prolly stand a better chance of not getting punished for her real crimes (ie. her movie career). Oh well … better luck next time, Jessica.

It looks like Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt aren’t the only couple getting married again this weekend … after a quiet wedding on Valentine’s Day earlier this year, Salma Hayek and billionaire François-Henri Pinault are planning to renew their vows this weekend in a slightly more lavish ceremony — complete with masquerade wedding rehearsal dinner with a few friends. Here are a couple pics of the newlyweds-cum-reweds (with daughter Valentina Paloma in tow) making their way into their rehearsal dinner last night and some info about the joyous event:

Talk about an A-list affair! Woody Harrelson, Olivier Martinez, Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek’s ex Edward Norton have all arrived in Venice as Hayek, 42, is set to wed billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, 46, for a second time Saturday. On Friday morning, Harrelson, Martinez and Norton met up with newly engaged magician David Blaine at the city’s famous San Marco Piazza for coffee. A rehearsal dinner took place later in the day at the historic Punta Della Dogana. French president Jacques Chirac and wife Bernadette were invited, along with Hayek’s pals, Penelope Cruz and Ashley Judd. The masked ball attracted the likes of Charlize Theron and boyfriend Stuart Townsend. All the guests wore black Venetian masks. Hayek and Pinault’s daughter Valentina, 1, was also there. Hayek and Pinault – who quietly wed at City Hill in Paris on Valentine’s Day – will exchange vows again Saturday at the Palazzo Grassi, a historic white-marble palace owned by the Pinault family and the site where Hayek and Pinault first met in 2006.

Congrats goes out to Salma and François-Henri on the renewal of their wedding vows today! I always thought it was kinda strange that Salma and her billionaire opted for a quiet wedding when they could afford the absolute most lavish ceremony they could ever imagine. It makes sense that they would seal the deal in private first (and on a romantic day like VD) and then throw a fabulous party for family and friends later. I realize that Speidi may be going “all out” for their nuptials this afternoon but something tells me that Salma and François-Henri are gonna have them beat in the faboo factor.

Marc Malkin from E! News is reporting that lurve may be in the air for New Moon star Taylor Lautner who has been spotted spending time with Disney starlet Selena Gomez. According to the report (augmented by new photos of the pair in close proximity making their exit from having lunch together), the couple have been hanging out together in Vancouver, Canada where his new film The Twilight Saga: New Moon is currently in production. Could Taylor be using his Twilight Saga cache to couple up with a Disney princess?

Move over, Pattinson, Stewart and Reed! Make room for Taylena! Taylor Lautner, 17, is the latest New Moon-er to be hit with romance rumors. Reports say he’s gone on a few dates in Vancouver with Disney darling Selena Gomez, 16. As everyone knows by now, New Moon has been shooting in the Canadian city for the last month. Gomez is also there filming Ramona and Beezus from Beverly Cleary’s popular children’s book series. We’ve got details on where they’ve been spotted and what they were doing: Taylena hit Caffe Artigiano yesterday for a little morning get-together. With Gomez’s mom in tow, they ordered two of the coffee shop’s signature lattes before sitting at a table to chat for about 30 minutes. “They were very low-key and kept to themselves,” an eyewitness tells us. “Nobody bothered them.” In fact, the staff seemed unfazed by Taylena. Photos show the cozy duo jumping into the same SUV while being protected by a big, burly, tattooed bodyguard. A source also confirms that the two recently had dinner at a local outpost of the Old Spaghetti Factory. The only fuss came from a small group of girls “who were really excited” but were too shy to approach them, said our source. Whether the twosome is really sweet on each other remains unclear, but we definitely approve of this pairing. Seriously, the cuteness factor on Taylena is up there with puppy dogs and kittens, don’t ya think? And let me tell you, I’ve met and talked with both of them. They are two of the nicest aw-shucks kids around. Never do I hear anything bad about them. They’re friendly, smart, gracious and humble. Meanwhile, get ready to see a lot more of Mr. Lautner. Remember that shot of the shirtless New Moon werewolves that was released earlier this week by the studio? Well, I hear similar pics of Lautner are on the way.

OMG … Taylena! I love it! I suppose a name like Taylomez or Selautner might work as well but I could live with Taylena. Hahahaha … and another generation of celebrity romance is born. This news will prolly only serve to cause legions of Taylor Lautner fans (affectionately called Taylor Tots) to go screaming into their pillows … or off to burn effigies of Selena. I suppose it’s possible that these two kids are really getting “involved” but it’s also just as likely that they are hanging out together in order to whip up some more attention to the two of them. New Moon could always use more press … as could Selena Gomez, who I’m sure is just waiting for Miley Cyrus to slip up so she can step in and take her place as reigning Disney queen. I suppose we should err on the side of positivity and assume that these two crazy kids are hanging out because they like each other and not because their publicists are making them … right?

Last night David and I decided to spend the entire night at the movie theater … because so many movies opened this weekend and because we are flying off to Chicago later on today, we thought it best to see at least 2 movies last night in order to get our intense desire to see them out of our system. First up, we saw the latest Channing Tatum masterpiece Fighting:

Okay … you ain’t gonna find any Academy Award gold in this film nor are you going to find any deep meaningful dialog or, you know, meaning … basically, it’s an entertaining film because it stars an insanely attractive man fighting with other not so attractive men. I can’t lie … I was entertained. The fight scenes were the best part of the film … with the close-ups of Channing‘s face running a close second. I was kind of bothered by Terrence Howard‘s performance in the film … something about his voice and mannerisms just creeped me out. But, again, I don’t think anyone will see this film for any reason other than Channing Tatum. Even after he gets pummeled in his various fights, he manages to look even better afterward. Yeah, I don’t know that this film will appeal to all … but I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Next up, we saw the latest Beyoncé film Obsessed:

This movie was a HOOT! It was so freakin’ funny … in parts that I’m guessing weren’t meant to be funny. The crowd really enjoyed it as did we … yeah, it’s a super ridiculous film that provides just what it promises — cheesy dramatic bullshizz. The only negative I have to say about the film is that the best parts of the movie (ie. the fight scenes between Beyoncé and Ali Larter) are featured in the movie trailer. You basically see all of the juiciness (and the best lines) in the trailers. If you’re luke warm about seeing this film, you might want to hold off and see it on DVD or cable. But, if you really want to have a fun time seeing a cheesy movie, this one is for you. Again, David and I really enjoyed ourselves … but not because the movie is a stunning masterpiece.

You know, sometimes movies can just be frivolous fun … and that’s exactly what we got from our Double Feature last night :)

So yeah … in a few hours, David and I make our way to Chicago, IL. We’re meeting up with my friends Sarah and Mark tonight and tomorrow and then are chillin’ in town until Wednesday afternoon. I’m excited … it’s been ages since I’ve been to Chi-town. Woot!

They may say that no one walks in LA but that adage doesn’t necessarily hold true in other SoCal places like Santa Monica, CA … which is plainly evident from these new photos of hottie Jake Gyllenhaal taking a lonesome stroll in SM yesterday after grabbing a quick bite to eat at Cafe Luxxe — behold:

OY! Even fully covered from neck to toe Jakey poo looks really hawt. I have to say, the appeal of these photos of him rollin’ solo are helped muchly by the fact that his ladylove Reese Witherspoon is nowhere to be seen. Oh, don’t get me wrong … I love Reese individually … just notsomuch when she is with Jake. As you may recall, the last two times the couple were spotted together they were either canoodling backstage at Coachella or she was getting groped by him on the public streets of Indio, CA … neither scenario I particularly cared for. I’ll take a fully-clothed Jake over a scantily clad Jake with Reese Witherspoon … well, I guess it would have to depend on how “scantily clad” we’re talkin’ ;) In any event, enjoy the Jakeyness!!

Being very careful not to be photographed together, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson each returned and made their way into Samantha‘s home after the couple reportedly spent some time together elsewhere earlier yesterday evening. You may recall that we learned yesterday that the ladies hung out for a reported 6 hours stretch on Thursday night so last night’s hanging out session would be their second in a row … I dunno, it really looks like L. Ron are on their way back to reunification:

I am convinced that these ladies care very much for one another … at the core of their relationship, I suspect that is a strong bond of friendship. Even if they do not get back together romantically, I would bet lots of dough that the two of them will remain friends for the long haul. But … I’d prolly bet even more dough that these two are working to get back together as a couple. One night of drama does not usually end a year+ long relationship … besides, I think passion can spring from drama … and there ain’t no couple in Hollywood as passionate/dramatic as L. Ron. I bet we’ll see more of these two hanging out for some time to come. And, hopefully very soon, we’ll start seeing them out and about — together.

Today is supposedly the BIG DAY that The Hills reality TV couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt get hitched. We learned a few weeks ago that April 25th (today) was chosen as the day that they say I Do (again but, supposedly, for real this time) and we learned last week that the couple actually filed for a marriage license here in SoCal in preparation. MTV even gave the city of Pasadena, CA the head’s up that a “wedding-like event” will take place in their fair city this afternoon … and last night, Speidi showed up at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for their reported wedding rehearsal dinner … behold:

Spencer Pratt showed up with his very best friend and possible Best Man … the video camera on his shoulder. Heidi Montag showed up with a bright pink Juicy shopping bag … perhaps her wedding dress was hidden inside? After a week of rumor and conjecture about their nuptials today, both Heidi and MTV have been hinting on Twitter that perhaps no wedding will actually take place today. It’s possible that they were merely throwing out red herrings in order to “confuse” people or, I suppose, it’s entirely possible that everyone is gearing up for another wedding that won’t happen. Today’s the day … and while we may get paparazzi photos of the happy event later on today (despite the couple’s best efforts to keep the paps away) … we won’t know for sure if the couple were actually legally wed until the show airs on MTV in a few weeks — or if TMZ snoops out the filed, legalized marriage license. I guess we shall see. In any event, I suppose Congrats are in order for the happy couple … you know, just in case.

Trick or Treat! Rob Zombie has released the first trailer from the sequel to his remake of Halloween and, I have to say, it doesn’t look too bad. While I was not really a fan of his version of Halloween, the trailer for Halloween II looks much better in comparison:

Unsurprisingly, Zombie strays quite a bit from the original version of Halloween II (which, for the record, is one of my fave horror films of all time) as it appears most of the action does NOT take place in the Haddonfield Hospital like it does in the original Halloween II.
