Octomom Nadya Suleman, famous for birthin’ 8 babies at once to add to her already sizable single-parent family that had 6 children already, is featured on the cover of the new issue of Life & Style magazine. In her coverstory interview, Suleman apparently answers all the questions the world is dying (?) to know. Here is the Ocotomom and 7 of her babies (the 8th was still hospitalized by the time this issue went to print) on the cover of L&S mag along with a portion of her “big interview”:

In a two-hour sit-down interview with Life & Style, Nadya opens up about the choices she’s made, the father of her children and reveals the truth behind all the rumors. Nadya Suleman’s home in La Habra, Calif., should be a scene of chaos, yet when Life & Style arrived on April 4, things were quiet and serene. Nadya seemed less concerned with her appearance than spending time with her kids. “This is who I am,” Nadya says. “There are so many lies out there, and they’re all just so different from the person I really am.” Here, in her first extensive print interview, Nadya finally sets the record straight for Life & Style.
L&S: You’ve never talked about the birth itself. What did it feel like to give birth to eight babies?
Nadya: It was extraordinarily painful. With that many babies, it feels like your insides are being torn apart. The babies were ripping apart my organs. Afterward, people thought I went into hiding. I wasn’t in hiding — I was in pain. I could hardly move.
L&S: Did you ever dream of having a family the traditional way?
Nadya: No. I was married at one point, but it didn’t work out. I decided to go on my reproductive journey alone. But people think I just woke up one day and decided to start a family. I’ve been trying to have kids since I was 19 years old! I’m 33 now. I’d just been saving my money. I was a psychiatric technician — almost every day I was working 16-hour days. For years, I worked non-stop until I saved for the first four in vitros.
L&S: How did you approach the babies’ father to donate the sperm?
Nadya: Years ago, I said, “Hypothetically speaking, would you ever help a friend have children?” He said he would. And I said, “Then help me.” And he did. I kept going back to him, and year after year, he kept helping me. He was upset when I did it again. He said the same thing everyone else did: “You have six beautiful children — why do you want more?”
L&S: Baby No. 8, Jonah, is still at Kaiser Permanente Hospital waiting to be released. What’s wrong?
Nadya: He has a little cleft on his lip. But it’s not a big deal. It’s cosmetic. Eventually, they can close it. Jonah won’t be coming home until he gains a little weight. He’s only 4 pounds but he’s growing bigger and stronger every day.
L&S: Are you going to do a reality show?
Nadya: Absolutely not! I have no interest in being famous. I’d love to vanish from the public eye as soon as I can.
I suppose if there ever was a way for a person to get rich and famous from having babies, this is the way to do it. I have a hard time believing that Suleman will not eventually do a TV show of some kind. It’s still pretty crazy how quickly the story of these octuplets went from being a happy surprise to, what amounts to, a major marketing phenomenon. It’s only been a little over 2 months since these babies were born — and since the birth of the Octomom — and she’s already become a pretty big part of the public nomenclature. I have to admit, I’m really curious to read this 8-page interview in full. I know it’s totally wrong but everyone loves a freakshow. Who knows what’s next for Nadya Suleman but if there is money to be made, I’m convinced she’ll figure out a way to make it happen. OY!

wait Robbert was with Nikki for the the mom ohmy!!!
I’m fearful for these babies sometimes. My daughter was 5 weeks early and needed constant care. Even when she came home, she cried a lot and needed a lot of holding and cuddling. I just hope that she can give those babies everything they need to thrive, especially lots of love. I know she can do it, I’ll pray for her.
ok by no way do i think she did the right thing by haveing 8 babies after she had 6 already. but i hope she can make it. i have 13 month old and am expecting a son in may, and im nervous as hell!! i have my husband here to help me 24/7. she fired all her free help!! whose going to help when she goes back to work and school? this is all just shady to me! sorry
She seems VERY shady and insincere to me. Maybe it’s just because she has Jack Nicholson’s “Joker Mouth”??
Yes, Robert and Nikki were dating once! Geesh, those poor kids. She seems okay, not horrible… it’s interesting that she isn’t doing a reality show.
Please Trent, do not give this crazy person any more publicity. She is undeserving of your wit and creativity.
She needs to get her story straight. If you have no plans of becoming famous and disapearing from the spotlight, don’t be on the cover of a magazine. If she ever does make a reality show I assure you, I will never watch it.
I dont like her. Not one bit. Somebody needs to take those babys away from her because she obviously has some type of mental imparement. I wish the babys well and i hope they can survive a crazy lady for a mom. Lol she is almost like the crazy cat lady…but with kids!
@ Razzle Dazzle yeah I think ur right!!
Btw who is Robert and Nikki?
She makes me pretty sick!
my reproductive journey
My Reproductive Journey
MY REPRODUCTIVE JOURNEY
DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD:
SICKO!
L&S: Are you going to do a reality show?
Nadya: Absolutely not! I have no interest in being famous. I’d love to vanish from the public eye as soon as I can.
Bwaaaaaahaaaaaaahaaaaaa, what a liar!!!!!
I love how you refer to the 8 beautiful newborns (that everyone seems to forget about) as being part of a “freak show”. Nice. Remember when being gay was grounds for being called a “freak show” or do you forget how that stung (I don’t imagine that you do, so why “pay it forward”, when what you’re passing on is hurtful)? What if these kids read this 18 years from now, how do you think that will make them feel? Yes their mom is messed up, but leave them out of it. When writing about this kind of issue, you should write it like those babies are looking over your shoulder. Even if you exclude them from the supposed freak show, they will still read such comments about their mother, how do you think THAT will make them feel? Furthermore by continuing to write about her, you are feeding the situation that you claim to believe is wrong, unethical, immoral, whatever.
Time to practice what you preach, Trent.
@Adrienne — if you seriously think that I am attacking the babies you are sorely mistaken. whether you like it or not, the environment that Suleman has created out of all of this has turned into an utter freak show — which has no bearing on the children at all. while your fervent defense of the babies is admirable, your attacking my opinion is unfounded. you are free to believe what you wish, as am I. I never pretend nor claim to be perfect. I stand by my opinion on this and I won’t apologize for it.
It’s ridiculous that she said she had to work 16hr work days and save for years just for the first in vitros…. um… thats probably the cheapest part about having a child!!! Shouldnt she have saved all that money to give her first 6 children a nice, healthy lifestyle and a good education?? This woman needs some seriously help
yah, and sorry about the typos… I’m tired :P
If she had to work that hard for the “first 4″…what about the remaining 10? (all of her children are the result of invitro, remember). She is such a shady cat. I only hope that when she finally goes completely bonkers that she doesn’t taker her children out with her. I really wish they would be given to foster families. There are so many wonderful people waiting to adopt!
Let’s give her what she wants and STOP TALKING, EMAILING, READING, BLOGGING, even THINKING about this horrible woman. Please.
Why aren’t the older 6 kids ever featured with the octuplets? I mean, it was when people found out that she had 6 kids already that all hell broke loose. My suggestion is that people don’t buy any magazines that she’s featured in which lessens her value to them. She isn’t making profit or generating sympathy from being mentioned on websites which lessens the likelihood of her getting a reality show offer. This new mag push smells like someone trying to jumpstart interest in her situation since it has died down considerably.
Real Talk, the more I read about this woman, the more uneasy I feel. Whenever shes out, you NEVER see her with the kids. WHOSE TAKING CARE OF HER KIDS? There’s NO WAY she and her parents can take care of 8 newborns by themselves, and homegirl looks like shes sleeping well. Im really worried for her children.
