16 year old Miley Cyrus is featured on the cover of the new issue of Glamour magazine in order to promote her upcoming new film The Hannah Montana movie and in her coverstory interview she talks openly about her romantic relationship with her 20 year old manfriend underwear model Justin Gaston. Miley believes that she isn’t doing “anything wrong” by dating JG and, in fact, confesses that she “loves Justin so much” that she doesn’t care what anyone thinks about their relationship. Well now. She actually used the L word. Here is a new pic of Jiley steppin’ out on the town this week (you will note that Justin is back to wearing his favorite/only outfit) and portions of Miley‘s interview with Glamour mag:
Miley Cyrus says meeting her boyfriend Justin Gaston is “the best thing that’s happened to me in a long, long time.” Another pretty cool thing? Landing her first women’s magazine cover at 16. And in the May Glamour, Cyrus says Gaston, 20, is “the most respectful and selfless person I’ve ever known.” Regarding their age difference, she adds, “I don’t feel like I’m doing anything wrong … My fans already accept it – they just want me to be happy. And I haven’t been that happy in a few years.” Cyrus, who admits she went through a rough breakup from Nick Jonas, is finally able to say, “I don’t feel like there’s anything to hide. And I love [Justin] so much I don’t really care.” As for women she also loves – and looks up to as a blossoming actress – Cyrus says she’s “a huge Jennifer Aniston fan and a huge Angelina Jolie fan.” Of Jolie, she notes, “She’s also changed, going from her wild child to being a mom and having a normal life. And Jennifer Aniston bounced back after her divorce. If anything like that ever happens to me, I’m like, ‘Pull a Jennifer, Miley!’ She is so classy.”
I believe this is the most that Miley has spoken on the record about her relationship with Justin Gaston. It’s about time she came clean and put all of her cards on the table … tho, it’s interesting that she saved these juiciest tidbits about her romance for an interview that gets published the week her new film opens in theaters. The girl is smart, or at the very least has got smart people around her. I still have my suspicions about what is really going on between these two but I cannot blame the girl for wanting the world to know that JG is hers. Despite her alleged maturity, she is still a 16-year old girl — a very rich 16-year old girl — and all 16-year old think they know everything. If she believes she is in love, then she’s in love. I guess we’ll just have to see for just how long she remains in love. Long haul? Doubtful. But I suspect these two are planning to stay together for a while.

Im getting tried of hearing about Miley and her 20yr BF…can’t we just move on to more important things. We all knew they were dating why is everyone so shocked about her finally coming out with the truth..OMG! Sheesh!
I’m sure she’s such a nice girl, BUT something about her just really really really bugs me SO much.
for what it’s worth, my best friend in high school starting dating a 20 yr old when we were 16, they got married 4 months after graduation and have now been happily married for 15 years. And her parents didn’t approve in the beginning but have always been supportive.
Of course she doesn’t feel like she’s doing anything wrong! She’s supposedly getting a hot piece of 20 year-old ass! It’s HIM that’s doing something wrong! Allegedly..I find it really odd that she’s on the cover of Glamour to promote her Hannah Montana movie..It just seems like she should be in Seventeen magazine or something instead..
Don’t people get arrested in this country for sleeping with 16 year olds when you are over 18? If she is using the L word then they are sleeping together regardless if he is sleeping with men on the side or not. She is super annoying.
While the age difference is slightly creepy, people need to understand the laws of stat rape before shooting off their mouth.
1) Every state has a different age of consent. I’m not sure what California’s is so this may or may not be relevant.
2) Gaston can ONLY be arrested and charged if Miley’s parents have a problem with their relationship, which they obviously don’t.
I find Miley Cyrus seriously annoying. She thinks she’s so mature, but every time I hear her talk she’s sounds exactly the opposite. I’ve been a subscriber to Glamour magazine for years, and I have to say I’m appalled they’re putting her on the cover when she’s promoting the Hannah Montana movie (that she hopes to be nominated for an Oscar for…LOLOLOLOLOL!!!). As far as people getting arrested in this country when you’re over 18 sleeping with someone younger…it depends on the state. Where I grew up the age of consent was 16. Also, in general, the law really only gets enforced (and that’s anywhere) if the parents press charges.

I guess I don’t see what the big deal is. I’m 19, and friends of mine who are around my age (yes, some 20) date girls anywhere from Miley’s age to their own. Would I personally do that? No, but by age 16 a ton of girls are more mature than the 20 year old guys they’re dating. Especially in this case where Miley’s parents are okay with it, I don’t get why such a big deal is being made. Miley is not your child, and she’s almost an adult as it is. And to the people who say she’s setting a bad example for her fans, maybe the parents of her fans should step in and instill values in their children themselves.
I am not a fan of hers, but I do feel bad for her. When I was in high school, freshman dated seniors. I had friends when i was a sophmore that dated guys that had graduated the year before. 4 years isn’t really that big of a deal. I think she is being held to a higher standard than everyone else.
I do feel bad for Miley in some ways but she’s a role model to thousands of girls who love Hannah Montana and just Miley in general. I find her to be a horrible role model. Yes, it is unfair that people scrutinize her over her relationship age gap but she’s in the public eye for god sakes. I find her absolutely ridiculous. I find it hilarious she says she won’t end up like Lindsay or Britney when in fact she’s already there and she isn’t even twenty yet.
Her parents not being bothered by it doesn’t really count for much if you think about how they ac about everything else. They treat her like she is 20 year old fully capable of doing what she wants with whomever she wants.

Why is she so annoying? Nobody cares what a 16 year old has to say about being in “love.” When I think about how a 16 year old defines a “rough” breakup, it really just makes me laugh.
